Some Random Thoughts
Lawrence Pfohl (better known as Lex Luger) is in the news again. Early this month, he was arrested and charged with five years probation for the possession of steroids once again. The man who was cocky and arrogant in the WWE (then known as WWF) and WCCW less than five years ago has become just a man working from show to show with a chemical dependency. In May 2003, Luger was exonerated for the death of Miss Elizabeth that has been ruled as accidental. He was charged with possession of controlled substances nonetheless.

World Wrestling Entertainment
The WWE taped RAW (aired on 02.07.05) and Smackdown (aired on 02.10.05) in Tokyo, Japan. Although the WWE has visited Japan several times before, this was the first time that WWE shows were taped in Japan. The last time that the WWE taped its shows outside North America was in October 2004 in the the United Kingdom.

The highlight of RAW taped in Japan (aired on 02.07.05) was Tajiri and William Regal winning the tag team championship from La Resistance. It was nice that the WWE gave Tajiri a title in his homeland. The second best match was between Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho. The worst match was between Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair because the legend against series of matches gimmick that the WWE has been dragging for the past several months is getting old.

The most memorable match of Smackdown taped in Japan (aired on 02.10.05) was the Bashams against Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak, which ended in a no-contest. The only reason it was somewhat memorable is the constant fights between JBL and Kurt Angle mixed with pissing off Paul "The Big Show" Wight.

The WWE continues to push David Batista. The WWE had Eric Bischoff (general manager for RAW) and Teddy Long (general manager for Smackdown) fighting over him. Batista was given the chance to face Triple H (the current world heavyweight champion, RAW) or JBL (the current WWE champion, Smackdown). Batista finally broke away from Triple H and Ric Flair (RAW, 02.21.05). Batista will face Triple H for the heavyweight title at Wrestlemania 21 (04.03.05).

Total Non-Stop Action
TNA Against All Odds PPV TNA has gone through some re-organization since Vince Russo left the promotion. Dusty Rhodes is the main person managing TNA with Larry Zbyszko, Rowdy Roddy Piper and Harley Race.

Jeff Jarrett was able to retain the NWA heavweight title defeating Kevin Nash on the Against All Odds PPV (02.13.05). The match brought back Sean Waltman (formerly known as the 1-2-3 Kid and X-Pac) who came to help Nash and the New Age Outlaw (known in the WWE Billy Gunn) to came to help Jarrett. The New Age Outlaw was stopped by his former tag team partner, BG James. The match brought memories of the WWF (now called WWE) circa 1994.

Another big comeback on the Against All Odds PPV (02.13.05) was the Harris Brothers under the name of the Disciples of Destruction in a match against Jerrell Clark and Mikey Batts. Needless to say the DOD won the match.

Diamond Dallas Page has had a love/hate relationship with Kevin Nash in TNA. As of late he has been in good terms with Nash and have helped each other several time. DDP will face Jeff Jarrett for the NWA world title on the Destination X PPV (03.13.05).

World Class Championship Wrestling
The following results were sent by WCCW for their event on 02.19.05.

Juan Tastic lost to the Mexican Giant in the first match of the night.

Lil Shooter defeated American Idol.

As Shooter earned the victory, The WCCW champion, Minnotaur, made his presence felt by coming out and attacking them both. He cut a scathing promotional clip about how he hasn't been able to sleep since Slam Shady got the better of him in January. He didn't care the fact that he had retained the title, only that he felt Slam had embarrassed him. He called for Slam and when he didn't show up, he really got angry. He finally demanded Slam and was answered by WCCW's only diva, Sara Devlin. He grew irate thinking that Slam was scared of him and sent his girl out to talk to him. He demanded Sara should bring him Slam. She apologized because she couldn't, some problem making him unavailable to make the show. He then attacked her and gave her a vicious slam. He went for her again, but WCCW Commissioner Big Joe ran out for the save. He promised him 2 big surprises, something that would make him regret attacking a woman. He would find out later that he would be defending the title in a triple threat match.

The third match of the evening was Terry Cash and Manwhich against Mercinary and T-Wolf. T-Wolf earned the victory for his team.

Match four was Nick Bondage against Mexican Giant. Nick Bondage beat him.

Match five Lil Shooter against Nick Bondage for the finals of the lightweight title match. Nick edged shooter out for the title.

Max Pain made a special appearance as he wrestled WCCW World champion Minnotaur and Mountain Man in a triple threat match for the title. Minnotaur retains the title.

The Houma Street fight was scheduled to be the final battle for the tag team titles between Half Breed and Bronco Bob against the Jihad Warriors. Only, it seemed that Half Breed no longer had a tag team partner, which Terror Ted and TK Riot proudly threw in his face. They were surprised to hear Justin Stone's theme playing. As he came out to back up his good friend, Half Breed the match was on. TK Riot got more than involved and Half Breed smacked him good with a chair and sent the Iraqi Madman away in bad need of medical attention. Thus, with the main problem eliminated, Justin and Half Breed captured the vacant WCCW tag titles.
