Some Random Thoughts
Last year, we lost two wrestling legends, Stu Hart (1915-2003) and Michael "Hawk" Hegstrand (1957-2003).

World Wrestling Entertainment
Carlos Colon (known in the WWE only as Carlito "Caribbean Cool") won the US title from John Cena in his first WWE match (Smackdown, 10.07.04).

The WWE went to the United Kingdom for RAW (aired on 10.11.04) and Smackdown (aired on 10.14.04). The video quality of RAW (10.11.04 in the UK) was grainy and was blamed on the satellite connection. On RAW (10.11.04 in the UK), William Regal and Eugene won the tag team titles, had to hand the titles back, continue with the match and lost to La Resistance.

The WWE pushed its PPV event this month, Taboo Tuesday (10.19.04). It was an interactive event with fans deciding who would face who or what type of match in some cases. It is the first time that the WWE has had a PPV event on a weekday since Survivor Series 1994, which took place on Thanksgiving (11.25.94).

On the Taboo Tuesday PPV (10.19.04), Triple H beat Shawn Michaels keeping his world title. Chris Benoit and Edge (who is turning heel and interfered in world title costing Michaels the title) won the tag team belts from La Resistance. Shelton Benjamin won the Intercontinental title from Chris Jericho. Trish Stratus still holds her title.

Tough Enough is aired during Smackdown. Tough Enough takes about twenty minutes, just like the Diva Search used to take. I just hope that Tough Enough takes less than the Diva Search. The WWE is losing ratings, but the Diva Search and Tough Enough are not the proper way to make wrestling fans watch either RAW or Smackdown. Real wrestling competition have made fans watch WCW, ECW and now TNA.

Total Non-Stop Action
After almost four months of watching TNA, I have a better idea of who is who in TNA. I have been taping the shows and watching the different matches with my three-year-old.

AJ Styles won the six-man match for the X-Division number one contender spot (Impact, 10.01.04). Styles will meet Petey Williams from Team Canada for the title on the Victory Road PPV (11.07.04).

Jeff Jarrett will meet the winner of a series of matches between Abyss, Jeff Hardy, Raven and Monty Brown. Jeff Hardy beat Abyss and Monty Brown beat Raven (Impact, 10.08.04). Jeff Hardy beat Monty Brown a week later (Impact, 10.15.04). Jeff Hardy will face Jarrett for the NWA (TNA) heavyweight title on the Victory Road PPV (11.07.04). Hardy is expected to win the title because of Jarrett's health and expected time off.

TNA wants to make the best of the Victory Road PPV from Universal Studios (11.07.04), bringing back Roddy Pipper for his segment The Pit and the Outsides (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash). There are also talks to bring X-Pac (Sean Waltman) and DDP. TNA has also been pushing an advertisement campaign bragging that their six-sided ring is cooler than common four-sided rings and that the wrestlers in the TNA roster have more balls than wrestlers in other promotions (to be more exact the WWE, although not specified by name).

Border City Wrestling
The following are the results for the Border City Wrestling Fan Appreciation Day show on Sunday, 10/24/04 at the Dillons Niteclub in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, with an attendance of 350.
