World Wrestling Entertainment
On SummerSlam (08.15.04), Randy Orton won the RAW title from Chris Benoit. The next day Evolution betrayed him and left him in a puddle of blood. Since then, Orton has been feuding with the three remaining members of Evolution, especially Triple H.

On SummerSlam, the Undertaker failed to win the Smackdown title from JBL, but he was able to hurt JBL. On 08.26.04, the Undertaker was to face JBL for the rematch. Since JBL was hurt, Orlando Jones (his sidekick) defended JBL's title against the Undertaker. Orlando Jones lost the match because of disqualification (interference from JBL) and JBL kept his title. After the match the Undertaker attacked both JBL and Orlando Jones.

On SummerSlam, That same night Kane won the right to marry Lita in stupid match stipulation. This will only drag the Kane monster storyline longer. The next night (RAW, 08.23.04), Lita had no choice but to marry Kane. I am sick of this character and long storyline that keeps taking turns feuding with several wrestlers for over a year.

Total Non-Stop Action
TNA Victory Road PPV As most people might know by now, Time Warner Cable pulled FSN off the air in July leaving us without TNA Impact for two weeks of TNA. At least I was able to watch Xplosion.

On 08.18.04, TNA decided to stop the weekly PPV events. The last weekly PPV will take place on 09.08.04 in Nashville at the TNA Asylum. TNA TV programming will be limited to Impact on Fridays on Fox Sports Network and Xplosion on syndication (Time Warner Cable channel 94, New York). TNA will have three-hour monthly PPV events starting 11.07.04, which will be called Victory Road.

NWA Central Florida
The following are the results from the NWA Central Florida TV taping in Orlando on 08.28.04 sent by The Hangman.

Rouge met up with Tommy Marr for the NWA-CWFL TV Championship. Tommy Marr has been ducking Rouge trying to claim he has been sick when he was last set to meet up with Rouge with a stomach virus. Rouge and the DMH say Tommy had butterflies and was scared. Tommy’s people say someone might have put something in Tommy’s food the night before the match. This time in Orlando Rouge came to the ring with a few surprises, the team of DMH and a surprise guest.

Ace could not make it to the TV taping because he was barred from the building this night so he sent one his friends, all the way from South of the Border, the man called Tarantula. Some call him Spidey. Tarantula speaks mostly Spanish but he was able to tell the packed house that Ace sent him to be there in Rouge’s corner for Ace.

This night as Tommy Marr’s music started playing the fans were shocked when through the curtain walked this big cowboy dressed all in black. From the first time he cracked his bullwhip the fans sat up on the edge of their seats both out of respect and fear. They knew about the talk of a hanging coming to Orlando and the buzz in the air was that this might be the night.

The big cowboy was introduced to the fans and the TV audience as the Wrestling Legend and the two-time, two-time Hall of Fame member and a good friend of Rouge, The Hangman.

Tommy Marr finally got to the show and the action took off from the opening bell. Even being out numbered, Tommy Marr held his own while taking it to Rouge and the DMH. The Tarantula distracted Tommy Marr and Tommy chased Spidey out through the seats where Spidey tried to climb the wall. Spidey kept sliding back down the wall and his web shooters did not help him to get away. The Hangman was walking over to the action, cracking the whip, while Rouge ran over to save his friend Spidey. Tommy Marr picked up Spidey and slammed him through the brick wall causing the enraged Rouge to snap. The Hangman tossed Rouge his Hangman’s Noose and Rouge shouted that there would be a hanging.

Rouge beat down Tommy Marr and dragged Tommy back to the ring where Rouge tried to wrap the Hangman’s Noose around the neck of Tommy Marr. The referee was screaming that you couldn’t do that hear and finally got the Noose away from Rouge.

The match for the TV title continued and Tommy Marr made a comeback. The rumor was that The Hangman would be somewhere in Orlando this weekend and many fans brought Hangman signs to the show hoping this was the place and to meet the Legend. As the Hangman was acknowledging a couple of the fans seated ringside with their signs, Tommy put Rouge in a Pedigree and went for the pinfall. Hangman saw this, ran around to the other side of the ring and was able to put Rouges foot on the rope and make the referee stop the count. Tommy got up, thinking he had gotten the three count and was posing for the crowd. The referee was trying to tell Tommy that the match was not over and that Rouge had his foot on the ropes.

Tommy Marr turned around to see The Hangman taunting Tommy and bragging that he put Rouge’s foot on the rope. Tommy became incensed at the actions of The Hangman and the DMH. This time Tommy snapped, saw Rouge staggering behind him and put Rouge in a second pedigree, right in the middle of the ring. The Hangman tried to climb the ropes to get in the ring and save his friend Rouge again but it was too late as Tommy Marr got the pinfall, right in the middle of the ring, and became the New NWA-CWFL TV Champion.

After the match Rouge ripped the belt out of the referee’s hand and grabbed the microphone. Rouge tried to congratulate Tommy on a fine win, but things are not always what they seem. As Tommy Marr was watching Rouge, Tommy did not see the other members of DMH and The Hangman climb up on the apron. The Hangman pitched his leather bullwhip to one of the members of DMH standing behind Tommy Marr. This distracted Tommy and Rouge took full advantage of the distraction by hitting Tommy with the belt and knocking him down. The other members of the team entered the ring and The Hangman wrapped his Hangman’s Noose around the neck of Tommy Marr while the other members picked up Tommy. Yes, Orlando did have a hanging this night and Tommy Marr found out why this wrestling Hall of Fame member is called The Hangman.

The crowd was really in the action this night. Some fans were cheering the hanging while others were in tears. All hell broke loose when The Hangman saw the almost lifeless body of Tommy Marr start to move and gasp for air in the middle of the ring. The Hangman called for his bullwhip and ordered the DMH to turn Tommy Marr over. Lying on the mat with his backside exposed, two members of DMH held Tommy down while The Hangman continued to whip Tommy some more. In all Tommy received about thirty lashes that night across his backside from The Hangman and his twenty-foot leather bullwhip.

As the whipping continued, one fan passed out while others screamed and fans of The Hangman cheered. The announcers, fearing for the life of Tommy Marr called back to the dressing room where many wrestlers came out to save Tommy from this horrific beating. The wrestlers beat down on The Hangman and cleared the ring. Tommy Marr was helped up, still with the noose around his neck, while Rouge and The Hangman helped each other stand up as they tried to get away and back out through the curtain.

Clearly the fans saw one match for the record books and one of the wildest matches to become part of the TV archives. Tommy Marr may have won the TV Title this time but Rouge and DMH have vowed that the battle is far from over. Tommy Marr has replied that that is fine with him. What tricks does Rouge have in store for Tommy Marr the next time those two are in the same building or even in the same town? Will The Hangman be back to finish the job or will another one of Rouge’s many friends be called in? One never knows. The ring and even the streets are no longer safe whenever Rouge and the New TV Champion Tommy Marr meet.
