World Wrestling Entertainment
The WWE once again has been pushing stupid storylines, once again involving Kane. This time he allegedly had sex with Lita and got her pregnant. Somehow her boyfriend, Matt Hardy, never watched a scene aired sometime in the beginning of June, in which she stepped out of his locker room. Matt Hardy asked her to marry him (RAW, 06.21.04), but he was interrupted by Kane who told him about the alleged sexual misconduct. Once again, these storylines have nothing to do with wrestling, making the sport a joke.

Chavo Guerrero Classic (formerly known as Chavo Guerrero Senior in the WWE) was fired. Aside from being a sidekick to his son Chavo Guerrero (formerly known as Chavo Guerrero Junior in the WCW), the older Guerrero was past his primetime, but a reminder of the golden age of wrestling in the 1980's.

The WWE pushes the PPV events it offers every month almost making RAW and Smackdown infomercials. This month there were two PPV events, Bad Blood (06.13.04) for the RAW division and the Great American Bash (06.27.04; name used by WCW) for the Smackdown division.

Total Non-Stop Action
TNA started airing a weekly show on FSN under the name Impact. In most markets, the show is aired on Fridays at 3:00 in the afternoon. I am getting myself a DVR so I can record these matches and watch them at a later time. TNA will finally give us an alternative to the stupid soap-opera that the WWE has become as of late.

TNA Impact

Since I moved, I can now watch Xplosion on channel 94 (Time Warner Cable, New York) on Tuesdays at 8:00 at night. Of course, since I haven't watched TNA matches on a constant basis, I don't know who sometimes I am watching on the ring (six-sided ring). TNA continues to have the feel of ECW, raw and full of action.

Border City Wrestling
The following results from Border City Wrestling are from the 06.27.04 event at the Dillons Niteclub in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

The Hornet pinned Ash when Hornet reversed an attempted suplex into a small package.

"Smooth Mover" Chris Pillon came out for what he called "a little Smooth 101." Pillon brought a picture of his manager, Jimmy Trump, with him. Pillon told everyone how he was one of the first graduates of the Can-Am Wrestling School, and it seems that things have gone downhill ever since. He said that he would be wrestling against a student, a student he could beat in five minutes. Pillon said he had spent the week in Vancouver visiting Jimmy Trump, who was put out at the hands of Dyson Pryce at Resurrection in May. As he made the picture "speak" as Trump, he relayed Trump's advice to him: "Take care of yourself, remember what I would say, Smooth puts asses in the seats! And Jimmy Trump is God!" Pillon dedicated the match to Trump, much to the disgust of the crowd.

Brad Martin defeated "Smooth Mover" Chris Pillon. The end came when Martin attempted a splash in the corner, but Pillon pulled the referee in the way. Martin landed on the referee, and while he was checking on the referee's condition, Pillon grabbed the framed picture of Trump. Pillon smashed the picture over top of Martin's head, but no sooner had that happened, Dyson Pryce was suddenly in the ring, and speared Pillon out of his boots. Pryce pulled Martin on top for the 1-2-3, and once Pillon was able to walk out, he was truly livid.

El Reverso beat Johnny Bravo and Phil Atlas in a Can-Am Dojo three-way dance. Bravo, the veteran of the three men, employed a strategy of staying outside the ring while the other two battled it out. He displayed his opportunistic tendencies, running in when it was convenient for him to break up a pinfall. When Bravo finally did enter the ring, he found himself getting doubleteamed by Atlas and the masked Reverso. However, once they had Bravo down, Atlas and Reverso began arguing over the pinfall and their teamwork disintegrated. An impressive two minutes-plus of counters and reversals from all three individuals, ended in a triple clothesline leaving all three men lying on the mat. The end came when Reverso pinned Atlas following a spinning heel kick.

The Threat (Truth Martini and N8 Mattson) defeated Gutter and D-Ray 3000 to become the new BCW tag team champions. Gutter's regular partner, The Hacker, was unable to make it to the show due to circumstances beyond BCW's control, therefore NWA-TNA's D-Ray 3000 was announced as Gutter's mystery partner. N8 and Martini, representing the Independent Wrestling Revolution (IWR), isolated D-Ray for much of the match, until an exhausted D-Ray was finally able to tag in Gutter. Later with all four men in the ring, N8 pulled the top rope down as Gutter was running towards it, which sent him falling to the outside. N8 and Truth then double-teamed D-Ray, and when Gutter came back in, N8 laid him out with a neck-breaker for the win.

Chris Clontz and Jaime D beat Maynard R. Nek and Bahdunkadunk in a mixed tag match. This was contested under the rules of the Ontario Athletics Commission, meaning the men could only wrestle the men, and the ladies could only wrestle the ladies. Jaime D showed off her strength against Bahdunkadunk with lots of power moves, including a vicious spine-buster. Clontz whipped Maynard into a spear by Jaime, and then followed it up with a chokebomb for the win.

Kris Chambers pinned Danny Daniels with a roll-up.

Joe E. Legend and Dyson Pryce defeated Eddie Venom and A-1 with Jade. Legend started out by telling the crowd to "open the book of Legend to Windsor, Ontario chapter 1, beating the crap out of two punks." He said that A-1 has found himself a partner, and added "might be a life partner, we're not sure." Legend went on to say that after the last show, although A-1 may feel like half a man, he knows that he's definitely a hole, and asked the crowd what kind of a (w)hole he would be. After an unfavorable chant towards A-1, Legend capped it off by saying that as we all know, "heroes come and go, but Legends live forever." Jade's presence was certainly felt at ringside, as she tripped Legend into an A-1 clothesline for a two-count. A-1 and Venom spent most of the match wearing out Legend while his partner was forced to stand on the apron and watch the chaos. But later, when Legend finally had Venom in place for his modified Overdrive neck-breaker, Pryce would steal the match and roll up Venom for the win. Legend was first confused, then seemed satisfied with the win. However, Legend then shocked everyone in attendance, turning on Pryce and laying him out with a neck-breaker, solid kicks and some harsh words.

In the main event, Alex Shelley, Ruffy Silverstein and Conrad Kennedy III (CK3) beat Zach Gowen, Petey Williams and Chris Sabin. Pre-match, CK3 introduced himself as well as all of his teammates. He told Sabin's team that they have about as much of a chance of beating the three of them as Zach Gowen does on a stairmaster. TNA Team Canada's Petey Williams started the bout with some fantastic mat wrestling against Alex Shelley. Shelley's team did all they could to hold on to an unfair advantage, with plenty of referee distractions and false tags. Later, Chris Sabin dealt an awesome double DDT to CK3 and Silverstein, and battled it out with Shelley with both men delivering some incredibly vicious kicks. Ultimately, it was Shelley's team coming out with the win, after Shelley low-blowed Sabin and pinned him with the Shellshock.
