World Wrestling Entertainment
The month started with The
Rock coming back to the WWE to reunite with Mick Foley. The reunion came as as a
rescue from beating that members of Evolution gave Foley. The Rock and Foley
faced Evolution at Wrestlemania (03.14.04) and lost. The Rock came back to boost
ratings and help sell the Wrestlemania four-hour PPV event. The Rock and Foley
losing the fight surprised me. I thought the WWE would make them look as heroes
rather than using them to push the members of Evolution. Maybe now, the WWE
would break the group and push each member in singles competition.
Continuing on the topic of
Wrestlemania, Chris Benoit survived the three-way match against Triple H and
Shawn Michaels, winning the world title. Finally Bonoit can hold the world
title. I am still pissed off at the decision that WCW took when they didn't
honor Benoit's win of the WCW title, recognized by WWE.
Wrestlemania also meant the
return of the Undertaker, who defeated Kane. John Cena won the the United States
title from the Big Show. The same night, Goldberg defeated Brock Lesnar (what a
surprise, especially with Lesnar leaving the WWE for the
NFL).
Due to some difficulties in
my life, I have had lots of difficulties working on this website. I wish that I
could write more.
Total Non-Stop Action
The plan that TNA had to use
WGN
for a weekly show has fallen apart, in favor of FoxSports.
The new deal will start airing one-hour shows in June.
This summer will once again have real competition in the wrestling world.
