Some Random Thoughts
Wrestling Journal is five years old since it was launched (or a year old since it was re-launched).

World Wrestling Entertainment
Since I moved, I didn't have cable for two weeks and couldn't watch RAW for two weeks in a row. I watched RAW on 01.19.04 and could barely make sense of what is happening. John Coachman was the general manager for the night. Stone Cold had only five minutes of air time during the second hour. This is worse than a soap-opera.

One storyline that has caught my attention has been the feud between Eddie and Chavo Guerrero (uncle against nephew). At first, I saw it as another useless storyline. Since Eddie won in the fifteen-man match (Smackdown, 01.29.04), Eddie Guerrero will face Brock Lesnar for the world title. I surprised that the WWE will push Eddie Guerrero to a possible championship.

As usual, every month the PPV event gets pushed. This month was not different, with The Royal Rumble (01.25.04) and its better than average matches. Triple H and Shawn Michaels had last-man-standing match that was a double disqualification. Chris Benoit won the Royal Rumble thirty-man match, leaving Smackdown for RAW to face Triple H at Wrestlemania.

As many wrestling fans have been dying to see, it seems like the WWE will push a match between Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar. I wanted this match to be unite the world/heavyweight title sham. It seems like the WWE wants to use the match as an excuse to allow Goldberg to leave the promotion after Wrestlemania. Either way, my money is on Brock Lesnar.

Total Non-Stop Action
TNA has mentioned that it is working on a weekly show on WGN. Of course, we still have to wait several months for this to happen. This would be similar to what ECW had to go through. Nonetheless, this is the only way TNA can be a real competition to WWE. As I mentioned, the waiting has begun.
