World Wrestling Federation
British Bulldog Shawn Michaels, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, the British Bulldog, Billy Gunn, Ken Shamrock are hurt. Will they ever coming back? I would like to see them at least once again.

Another month of bouts and nothing exiting has passed. The WWF and WCW have been plagued by boring hours of wrestling and half-naked women, mere eye-candy women who don't do anything and who can't wrestle (just like WCW).

The Undertaker (and his Harley Davidson motorcycle), Rakishi and Dudley Boyz still bring ratings. They are worth watching every Monday and Thursday night.

The WWF stole ECW the chance of a lifetime, TNN, confirming that the WWF programming schedule starting in September, all three WWF series will remain in the current timeslots. There is still no definitive word on how TSN in Canada will be affected. TSN's current schedule would have Western Canada seeing RAW at 6:00 PM PT as opposed to the Western TNN feed of 9:00 PM PT.

World Championship Wrestling
Another month of bouts and nothing exiting has passed. The WWF and WCW have been plagued by boring hours of wrestling and half naked women (same as WWF). Then again, Tammy is very interesting to watch, even when she has tried to wrestle with her husband Chris Candido.

Bret Hart, Bam Bam Bigelow, Sid and others are hurt. Lex Luger, Hulk Hogan, Rick Flair and DDP have "left" WCW (sabbatical). Scott Hall lost his contract (07.09.00) when Kevin Nash lost the match that would bring him back to WCW. Take the best out of the promotion and leave shit behind.

Nash disappeared from the spotlight until 07.19.00. He returned angrier than ever picking up a fight with Goldberg again.

Hulk Hogan Hulk Hogan (as stated before) has left WCW, thanks to Vince Russo (07.09.00) screwing Hogan for the heavyweight championship. The NWA has invited Hogan to join the promotion. There are also rumors about a new promotion on Fox sometime late this year.

At least on a high note, Booker T won the heavyweight title from Jeff Jarrett (07.09.00). Booker T is the first black wrestler to hold the WCW heavyweight title. Booker T has defended his title every week.

Lance Storm (who left ECW last month) won the American heavyweight title, the hardcore title and the cruiserweight title in less than a month. He renamed all the titles and put stickers on the Canadian flag on each belt.

Extreme Championship Wrestling
Dawn Marie On a month of boring events, it took a woman to do something exciting for wrestling. Jasmin St. Claire (who is best known for the World's Greatest Gang Bang II) has quit pornography for wrestling. She is the vallet of the Blue Guy (the now in-shape Blue Meanie).

Root for the underdog. ECW has lost their TNN contract. The last ECW broadcast is on 09.22.00, even when ECW was the highest rated Friday night show in TNN. The WWF is partially responsible for this. The WWF shows will be aired on TNN and MTV group starting on September.

At least videos are still on the works, which will be distributed by Pioneer. Acclaim will also release a new video game.

The second most exciting event in wrestling (also in ECW) involved a rocker. Billy Corgan (from Smashing Pumpkins) was scheduled to do a four-song acoustic set for ECW (07.22.00). He was interrupted by Lou D'Angeli (a.k.a Lou E Dangerously). Corgan hit Dangerously with his acoustic guitar starting a brawl involving Steve Corino, Jack Victory, and Scotty Anton in defense of Dangerously, against Tommy Dreamer and Jerry Lynn. This story was even picked up by Rolling Stone magazine.

National Wrestling Association
Ogawa, NWA The following was sent by MC Wrestling last month. SInce there was no publication last month, it is posted here. At the Nashville Fairgrounds (The Mecca) on Saturday 05.20.00, Chris Harris defeated Air Paris to become the new NWA North American champion. Harris was confronted by Mike Rapada after the match. Air Paris went into the match with a hurt hand.

Also last month in Cornellia, Air Paris was stripped of the NWA Wildside (GA) Jr. title, and a one night tournament was held to determine a new champion. After Ron Studd interfered in the first round match between newcomer Laz and Gemini, both were eliminated, so it came down to Onyx against Adam Jacobs for the belt. Onyx won after hitting Jacobs with the title belt.

The following results are for 06.17.00. Ultima defeated Ricky Noble.

Jessie Taylor pinned Stan Lee.

Jon Phoenix defeated Lazz who was attacked by Onyx before the match

AJ Styles defeated White Trash in a hardcore match, then continued beating on Trash until JC Dazz made the save.

Eddie Golden faced JC Dazz to a double disqualification that saw both AJ Styles and Jessie Taylor get involved.

Gemini defeated Jason Cross.

Terry Knight defeated Mark E Mark, then Jeff G Bailey began insulting Christopher Samson, who came to the ring. Knight slapped Samson who reared back to hit Knight. Kandi slapped Samson's arm from behind and fell down as if hit. Samson went to help her, was attacked and injured by Knight.

Scar Stevens and Pretty Boy Paris defeated Total Destruction (Rusty Riddle and Sean Royal), when Riddle and Royal were disqualified.

Onyx pinned Ice.

Bad Attitude (Rick Michaels and David Young) defeated The Rock 'n' Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) to become the new NWA Wildside tag team champions by winning two out of three falls.

Lee Tidwell and Steve Prazak called the action. Tim Dix returned as ring announcer.

Mic Tierney has retired from wrestling and moved to Texas to begin a career in architecture.
