Remembering Rick Rude
Rick Rude The WWF didn't pay tribute to "Ravishing" Rick Rude, who passed a year ago. No promotion remembered the Ravishing One and that is sad.

World Wrestling Federation
Stone Cold was at the Backslash PPV. He was on the Rock's corner while the Rock battles Hunter Hearst Helmsley for the heavyweight title. Rock regained the heavyweight championship. Other than the latter, nothing good happened this month.

World Championship Wrestling
There was no WCW (04.03.00 and 04.06.00) for a week. The following week WCW hit WWF in the gut.

Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff are back to WCW to manage the promotion. All titles were stripped. Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff divided the promotion into the New Blood and Millionaires' Club. Bret Hart and Shane Douglas returned to WCW. Mike Awesome (the former ECW heavyweight champion) made his debut in WCW, attacking Kevin Nash.

Jeff Jarrett won the heavyweight title and lost it to DDP. DDP lost it a four-way dance to the star of the Ready to Rumble movie David Arquette (04.24.00), due to the contractual agreement between Warner and WCW.

National Wrestling Association
Ogawa, NWA The following was sent by MC Wrestling. In Hopkinsville, KY, Air Paris and Big Bully Douglas defeated the New South (Kory Williams and Ashley Hudson) to become the new NWA North American tag team champions on 04.14.00 at the National Guard Armory. Paris is the current NWA Georgia Jr. Champion, and Bully is a former NWA North American champion. A rematch has been set for 04.21.00 in Hopkinsville. In other matches Allan Funk defeated Sean O'Hare. GQ defeated Basketcase, Air Paris no contests Ashley Hudson in a Captain's Match, and Allan Funk lost to Cassidy O'Reilly.

In Korea at Camp Carroll on 04.12.00 less than a week the NWA has its third set of world tag team champions as Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson captured the belts for a record eighth time. Before a crowd of 1,500 on 04.12.00 at Camp Carroll, South Korea, Morton pinned Jackie Fulton, who subbed for the re-injured Reno Riggins, as the Rock 'n' Roll Express downed the Main Event [Fulton and Steven Dunn]. A pre-match agreement between the two teams, which was approved by the NWA Championship Committee, allowed Fulton to substitute for Riggins. The title switch was the first NWA World TagTeam Title to ever change hands in South Korea.

Riggins and Dunn had taken the titles on 04.07.00 from Drake Dawson and Curtis Thompson [Triple xXx] before a crowd of 3,000 at Eskan Airforce Base in Saudi Arabia. We have also received reports that the Bushwhackers [Luke and Butch], who are also on tour with NWA Mid-Atlantic Wrestling, have been promised an NWA World Tag Team Title shot.
