World Wrestling Federation
Has anything special
happened in WWF? Besides XFL (football with wrestling?) there are no news.
Mick Foley (Mankind, Cactus
Jack or Dude Love; 34) lost a career-match against Triple H on 02.27.00.
Curiously, rumors said that Foley had decided to quit wrestling about a month
ago.
The Dudley Boys are the new
tag team champions, defeating the New Age Outlaws (No Way Out PPV, 02.27.00).
Shane McMahon returned to TV
broadcasts (No Way Out PPV, 02.27.00) helping Paul Weight win against the Rock.
Paul Wight would go to Wrestlemania against Triple H for the title. Shane is on
Stephanie's side, not arguing with her. This means that there is an alliance
between Paul Wight, Triple H, and both McMahon siblings.
World Championship Wrestling
Hulk Hogan returned to WCW
(02.02.00) responding a feud from Lex Luger (who as of late is referred as the
Total Package). He later got his arm broken.
Sting (Steve Borlan) has a
movie career. His movie is Shutter Speed with Daisy Fuentes (former MTV VJ).
Bam Bam Bigelow won the
hardcore title (02.07.00).
Kevin Nash was out for two
weeks with a broken ankle. Jeff Jarrett took over the deputy commissioner
position. The latter hit Scott Hall when he was about to win the heavyweight
championship from Sid. Nash returned (02.09.00) via video and ordered a match
between Hall and Jarrett (who came to ring with the Harris brothers) to decide
who would face Sid. The match was a draw due to interference from the Harris
brothers, a referee, and Sid.
Extreme Championship Wrestling
ECW Hardcore Revolution
(Acclaim),
the first ECW video game is out, at last. On 02.15.00 it was released at a local
video game NYC store. People waited hours in the cold to meet Tommy Dreamer and
Rob Van Dam.
Rob Van Dam is out with a
broken leg. He was stripped of the the TV title, for not being able to defend it
(aired 02.25.00). The title was held "by the network". A winner is to be crowned
on 03.12.00.
National Wrestling Association
The following was sent by
MC Wrestling. Tradition returns to the Garden State. [NWA Jersey joins the NWA
fold.]
In Charlotte on Saturday
evening, 02.05.00, the National Wrestling Alliance announced that its newest
member would be former Board consultant Fred Rubenstein and his associate,
Joseph Panzarino, who would comprise the newly formed territory of NWA Jersey.
Simultaneous with the
announcement of the new membership, Rubenstein resigned his consultant's
position with the Board of Directors effective immediately, citing a possible
conflict of interest in future business proceedings.
Rubenstein and Panzarino,
who were approved for membership through a majority vote by the Board of
Directors, will run their first show under the NWA Jersey banner on 02.19.00 in
Barnegat in a fundraiser for the Russell Brackman Middle School Activities Fund.
Their territory encompasses the entire state of New Jersey. While consulting for

the NWA banner, under the cooperation, sanction and supervision of NWA New York.
The Sports Entertainment Group's show on Saturday night, was the last show done
under the NWA New York banner.
NWA Northeast withdraws its
membership. NWA New York plans expansion.
In a letter addressed to NWA
President Howard T. Brody, Michael O'Brien, President of Northeast Wrestling
wrote that Northeast Wrestling was no longer a member of the National Wrestling
