World Wrestling Federation
The WWF is including a
disclaimer telling children not to perform any of the stunts, because doing so
may result in serious physical injury. This is only done on UPN
as of late, not on the USA Network.
One of my favorite WWF wrestlers
is the Untertaker. Has anyone seen the Untertaker lately? Of course, my favorite
wrestler as of late is Steve Austin, but he is hurt. When would he come back?
The Armageddon PPV (12.12.99)
had two huge surprises.
First Ms Kitty (who now wants
to be called the Kat) became the women champion. After the fight, she stripped
to her see-through bra and panties. Does anyone miss Rena "Sable"
Mero? I don't think so. Sable is too over-rated.
Then Stephanie McMahon
joined forces with Hunter Hearst Helmsley, backstabbing her father. As a result
Hunter has been the "boss" since RAW (12.13.99) telling everyone what to do
(nice ratings). The couple has been making matches in the WWF since then. They
are worse than the Corporate Ministry.
Stephanie McMahon fooled
everyone by acting sorry. She promised that everything would go back to normal
(12.23.99), just to beat Mankind and Paul Wight silly.
Speaking of Mick Foley, he
was fired from the WWF. He lost against the Rock on a career match, thanks to
Stephanie McMahon and Hunter Hearst Helmsley (12.27.99). Mick was paid tribute
on that week's Smackdown (12.30.99). If he is really out of the WWF, would he go
back to WCW or to ECW?
A sick and stupid move from
the writers of WWF is the violation of Tory, (the Undertaker's younger brother)
Kane's girlfriend (triple storyline). Since 12.24.99 this senseless story came
up, Test (the alleged violator) and the Rock have been beat by Kane. If the WWF
wanted a violator, the WWF should have played Depeche Mode's
Violator album. At least, their music doesn't suck.
World Championship Wrestling
Bret Hart and Goldberg won
the tag team belts from the Creative Control team (12.09.99). Bret Hart had two
belts for a week; the other one was the heavyweight belt.
The NWO died off about a year
ago, when no one admits it so. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall have been back for a
while. They have united force with Jeff Jarrett. No one called them NWO at first.
Hall and Kevin Nash are barely called the Outsiders any more either. As of
12.12.99, they are once again the tag team champions, defeating Bret Hart and
Goldberg. Anyhow, the Outsiders with Jeff Jarrett were working as a team, without
using the NWO name. They were attacked back by Dustin Rhodes, Sid, Chris Benoit,
Bret Hart (at the beginning) and Goldberg. After Starcade (12.20.99) Bret Hart
joined forces with the Outsiders and Jeff Jarrett, as the newer version of the
NWO. Scott Steiner returned to WCW as the newer member of the NWO. I am just
waiting for the Varisity Club (Rick Steiner, Kevin Sullivan, and Mike Rotundo
who was known as IRS in the WWF in the late 1980's) to unite with the NWO.
According to a WCW spokesman,
Scott Hall is expected to have surgery next week to remove bone chips from his
knee in a clinic in Birmingham, Alabama.
After Kimberly Page left the Nitro Girls about three months ago, the Nitro Girls
just broke up beating each other. What has gotten into Spice's head? She is a
dancer, not a wrestler. She wrestled other Nitro Girls and was beat. She had a
match against Madusa, which Spice only won by pure luck (12.13.99). Spice later
became Madusa's sidekick (Starcade, 12.19.99).
WCW wrestlers are not happy.
Kevin Nash complained that wrestlers get no working benefits (12.20.99). Roddy
Piper complained that Vince Russo (WCW writer) is responsible for not having
real fighters but clowns (remember Doink?
now in APWF). Then he quit WCW (12.20.99). Of course Bill Busch, the vice
president of WCW, might not be happy about this at all.
Terry Funk is the new WCW
commissioner. He would be replacing Rowdy Roddy Piper who quit earlier this
month.
Extreme Championship Wrestling
Masato Tanaka won the new ECW
world heavyweight champion (at last) on 12.17.99 in Nashville, TN in front of a
crowd of more than 5,000 (aired on 12.24.99). Former champion Mike Awesome won
the rematch on Thursday 12.23.99 in Westchester, NY in front of 4,000 (to be
aired on 12.31.99).
On Thursday 12.16.99, Paul
Heyman informed that Axl Rotten, Tammy Lynn Sytch and Chris Candido were no
longer with ECW. Tammy Lynn Sytch and Chris Candido might be going to WCW.
The quality of ECW has
improved a lot. Paul Heyman is investing twice as much as he was able to invest
just a year ago. ECW has become one of the organizations a wrestler wants to be
for sure. There is even a videogame done by Acclaim
on the way.
National Wrestling Association
The following was sent by
MC Wrestling. National Wrestling Alliance On 12.04.99 at the TV taping for
Wildside in Cornelia, GA at the NCW Arena, the Underdoggs (Mark E. Mark and Big
Eddie Cool with Silky Boom Boom became the new NWA and NCW tag team champions by
defeating the Road Hoggs (Big Joe Harley and Pan Head Nelson). Of course, Bad
Attitude were involved.
Terry Taylor retained the NWA
North American Heavyweight Title when he was disqualified in his match with Mike
Rapada (the Colorado Kid). Taylor first hit Rapada with the North American belt,
and then Mike Rapada's son, Mike Jr. entered the ring, and tried to stop Taylor
from hitting his dad again. Taylor first threatened and then hit the young boy
with the belt, knocking him out. Taylor was about to continue the assault when
NWA Vice-President Bill Behrens came to the ring and was able to get Taylor to
leave by threatening to strip him of the title right there.
At Loganville, GA on 12.07.99
at the Georgia Belle Flea Market fans enjoyed a great show featuring mostly
newcomers to the NWA.
In the first match the
Southside Trash (Razor and Rowdy) with their manager James J Hen'ery III
defeated Onyx and TJ Gray when Hen'ery used the briefcase to set up the pin.
Big Studd Hammer defeated
Tully Summers.
The Myth defeated JT Greed.
Andy Anderson faced Silky
Boom Boom and both were enjoying a great match when the Southside Trash got
involved turning it into a tag team match. Hen'ery again went to use the
briefcase but hit his own man instead and Anderson and Silky won the match.
NWA Georgia has entered into
a promotional deal with Miller Lite who will now help promote Wildside events
including TV tapings.
