The tag team belts have
changed hands. Mankind and Al Snow won the titles (date unknown). Later they
lost them to the New Age Outlaws (11.04.99).
Arnold Schwarzenegger was
part of Smackdown on UPN
(11.11.99). He was given a WWF heavyweight title belt for his box-office sales
by Vince McMahon.
The new WWF heavyweight
champion is Paul Wight (the Big Show in the WWF, the Giant in WCW; 11.14.99).
Andrew "Test"
Martin and Stephanie McMahon tried to get married on national TV (RAW 11.29.99).
Hunter Heast Helmsley crashed the party. This was the second live wedding on the
WWF. The first one had the Randy "Macho Man" Savage marrying Miss
Elizabeth.
World Championship Wrestling
As mentioned last month (and as
everyone knows) the Outsiders are back in
WCW. Kevin Nash made fun of Vince McMahon (WWF) as the "promoter"
(11.02.99). Scott Hall that same night won the US heavyweight championship from
Sid (real name Sid Eudy; a.k.a Psycho Sid, Sid Justice, Syd Vicious).
Dustin Runnels (Golddust in
the WWF) returned to WCW as 7enth (or some stupid name like that) (date?). He
was dressed up like like the Undertaker and very pissed because his father Dusty
Runnels was fired by WCW.
Speaking of terminations, Arn
Anderson was also fired (11.22.99). This would be the third termination since
everything started going bad in WCW. Right after Eric Bischoff was fired (first)
and some wrestlers fled to other promotions, including ECW, WCW took drastic
measures. Many internet polls indicate that fans don't like the changes in WCW.
WCW is desperate for rankings and, instead of making things right, WCW is
making them wrong. WCW introduced the Powers That Be which no one seems to know
who they are or want. Speaking of this Powers That Be, they won the tag team
belts from Konnan and Kidman (11.22.99).
Bret Hart (11.21.99) at last
won the vacant WCW heavyweight championship.
Extreme Championship Wrestling
As an ad for the November to
Remember PPV, ECW used the November Rain music video of Guns N' Roses, changing
most of the footage with their own. The video clip looked good (11.06.99)
especially weeks before the release of the new Guns N' Roses
double CD live album (11.30.99).
Nothing really changed in the
November to Remember PPV (11.07.99). There were no title changes. There were
less clothes on Francine and some friction between Lance Storn and Justin
Credible.
ECW is known for it "Blood
and Guts" attitude. At last the video game is a realiTy. Acclaim
is working on Hardcore Wrestling, schedule for late spring 2000 release.
ECW is also known for the
cat-fights. Tammy Lynn Sytch and Francine had a cat-fight on ECW on
TNN
(11.19.99) showing off their butts. No one minds these fights especially with
Joey Styles shouting "Cat-fight!"

Championship Pro Wrestling / Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling
The following was sent by CPW
Wrestling. It could be considered the most revolutionary weekend ever for
Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling. In just two days, the PCW crowned three new
champions. The Heavyweight, Americas, and Commonwealth Title have all changed
hands. Not only that, but the inaugural PCW/Giorgio Foods Tag Team Tournament
winners were also decided.
The biggest surprise of the
weekend was the unmasking of PCW manager El Hijo del Muerte. For months
everybody has claimed that it was Judd The Stud under the mask, but as you read
below, it was not who we thought it was afterall.
This weekend also marked the
first time Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling brought in wrestlers from Les
Thatcher's Heartland Wrestling Association in Cincinnati, Ohio. Race Steele and
Cody Hawk represented the HWA well in the tag team tournament on Friday night,
traveling all the way to the semi-finals of the tournament before being
eliminated.
The first night (11.05.99) of
the double-shot weekend began with the introduction of two new wrestlers. From
the Heartland Wrestling Association in Cincinnati, Ohio, the team of Cody Hawk
and Race Steele. Hawk and Steele both stated that it was their pleasure to come
to Hamburg and wrestle for the PCW. They also told the fans that they would take
the Tag Team Tournament trophy to Cincinnati, Ohio later tonight.
The team of J.J. Johnson and
Vincent Goodnite defeated E.S. Easton's "Box Office" team of
"Fabulous" Mozart Fontaine and "Hardcore" Nick Mondo to advance to the
semi-final round of the PCW/Giorgio Foods Tag Team Tourney.
Michael Modest and his
manager El Hijo del Muerte were brought to the ring. Modest told everyone of his
plans for the Cheetah Master later in the night. A few minutes into the
interview, PCW President Blaine DeSantis came to the ring and took the
microphone from Modest. Mr DeSantis then directed his attention to El Hijo del
Muerte. He told him that tonight was the night where he would be unmasked.
Blaine then called out some friends from the back. Scott Furie, Johnny Maxx,
Flash Flanagan, Cody Hawk, and Race Steele all came to the ring and tossed
Modest out, leaving everyone face to face with El Hijo del Muerte. Blaine then
called PCW CEO Cheryl Zito to the ring and said that she would have the honor of
unmasking Judd The Stud. Furie and Maxx untied the mask and just before CEO
Cheryl took it off Mr DeSantis asked Judd if he was ready, Judd responded with a
resounding "NO!" and with that CEO Cheryl took off the mask and
revealed that it was not Judd, it was PCW referee Larry Peace. At this point,
everyone was wondering where the voice of Judd The Stud came from and just then
Judd came from behind the curtain and approached the ring. He told Mr DeSantis
and CEO Cheryl that he has reinstated himself as a manager since he is a partial
owner of the company. He then threatened the job of Cheryl Zito. He told her she
must kiss the Ground he walks on or she is fired. With that CEO Cheryl got down
and gave Judd The Stud a low blow that he would not soon forget. Judd retorted
in a considerably low voice afterwards.
WWF developmental star Joe E.
Legend and his partner from Ohio Valley Wrestling, Jason Lee defeated the team
of PCW veteran Boogie Woogie Brown and mid-western lightweight Jimi V to advance
to the semi-final round of the tag team tournament with the help of interference
by the Kodiak Bear.
Scott Furie, accompanied to
the ring by his friend Johnny Maxx defeated PCW Commonwealth champion Mr Ooh La
La with his manager E.S. Easton to win the Commonwealth Title.
The self-proclaimed
"Natural" Ty Street and Ground Zero with their manager Judd The Stud
defeated Flash Flanagan and Boogie Woogie Brown, who filled in for a missing
Glen Osbourne, with the help of the referee for the match, Larry Peace.
Advancing Street and Zero to the semi-final round of the Tag Team Tournament.
The Heartland Wrestling
Association's Cody Hawk and Race Steele defeated Jay Love and Kodiak Bear with
their dual managers Sebastian Knight and E.S. Easton with the help of Boogie
Woogie Brown after he hit Kodiak with his own PCW Tag Team Title belt. Following
the match Boogie and Kodiak went at it all over the Hamburg Field House. PCW
President Blaine DeSantis had to physically split them apart. This match
advanced Hawk and Steele to the semi-finals.
PCW President Blaine DeSantis
made his way to the ring once again, this time to thank all of the fans for
coming to Hamburg. He then thanked one PCW fan in articular for coming back out
to a PCW show since the tragic death of his 15 year old daughter. Mr DeSantis
dedicated the rest of the show to her. He then told the fans that PCW would be
back on 12.04.99 with some major World Wrestling Federation superstars.
From the World Wrestling
Federation, The Blue Meanie defeated "Fast" Eddie Valentine with his
manager and personal groomer Sebastian Knight with his patented,
"Meanie-Sault" from the top rope.
Crowd favorites JJ Johnson
and Vincent Goodnite defeated Ty Street and Ground Zero with their manager Judd
The Stud to move to the finals of the inaugural PCW/Giorgio Foods Tag Team
Tournament after referee Paul Turner came to the ring to make the count after
Larry Peace was accidentally knocked out by Ground Zero.
Joe E. Legend and Jason Lee
defeated Cody Hawk and Race Steele to secure their spot in the final round of
the tournament.
Michael Modest with Judd
The Stud defeated The Cheetah Master as a result of a countout with assistance
from "their personal referee" Larry Peace who made the count on the fallen
Cheetah Master while he was attacked by The Mean Street Posse, Ty Street, and
Ground Zero on the outside. Following the match Cheetah and Modest went back and
forth on the microphone. Cheetah then challenged Modest to find a team of five
to take on some of Cheetah'S friends later in the night.
In the finals of the first
Annual PCW/Giorgio Foods Tag Team Tournament the team of Joe E. Legend and Jason
Lee defeated J.J. Johnson and Vincent Goodnite in a hard fought match by all.
Following the match, Legend and Lee were awarded the trophy as photographers
from several wrestling magazines snapped photos on the outside. Johnson and
Goodnite then congratulated the winners in a show of excellent sportsmanship.
Team Cheetah (Cheetah Master,
Boogie Woogie Brown, Flash Flanagan, Jimi V and The Blue Meanie) defeated Team
Modest (Michael Modest, Ty Street, Ground Zero, and The Mean Street Posse) in
one of the most volatile brawls in the history of Pennsylvania Championship
Wrestling.
