Heroes Of Wrestling
Heroes Of Wrestling The Heroes Of Wrestling pay-per-view was on 10.10.99 at 8:00 PM ET live from Casino Magic in Bay Saint Louis, Ms I watched this event for $20 wondering who is behind this event and I found out that it was done by Fosstone Productions (1128 Whitworth Court Herndon, Virginia 20170). With the lineup was as follows, in order as they happened during the event. Captain Lou Albano was given the title of Commissioner of the Heroes of Wrestling organization. He mentioned that there would be more pay-per-view events. Albano and Dutch Mantell were the two of three commentators.

The Somoan Swat Team (Fatu and Samu) beat Tommy Rogers and Marty Jannetty. This was a barely good opener.

Greg "The Hammer" Valentine beat George "The Animal" Steele, with Sensational Sherri who turned on Steele. It was a classic 1980's WWF event, stupid but fun to watch.

I didn't care about 2 Cold Scorpio beating Julio Sanchez. The latter is only 27 and is trying to make a name for himself.

Luke and Butch, formerly known as the Bushwhakers beat Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (former WWF tag team champions). It was a nice bout. just a nice bout.

Tully Blanchard (former member of the Four Horsemen) beat Stan Lane (former member of the Midnight Express with Beautiful Bobby Eaton) scoring a rivalry from the late NWA, early WCW around 1989-91. This was maybe the best bout of the night.

One Man Gang fought Abdullah The Butcher with everything including a fork. They fought to a draw, took their match to the floor and back to the dressing room. No one could stop them. A security guard who stepped on their way was hit on the head with a chair.

I didn't care much about Jimmy Snuka beating Bob Orton. I had no favorite wrestler.

The last match was a trip to the early 90's WWF memory lane Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart were supposed to have a singles match which turned to a tag team match when King Kong Bundy came to the ring and joined Neidhart. Yokozuma joined Roberts. Bundy and Neidhart won this match. The main event, which was Bundy against Yokozuma, never happened or was never aired. The cable company indicated that the show would be three hours long but it was cut down to two hours and a half. I wanted to see Yokozuma against Bundy as the promoters had advertised. I felt somewhat deceived.

World Wrestling Federation
Gorilla Mansoon Robert "Gino" Marella, known to fans around the world as Gorilla Monsoon as both a wrestler and a television announcer, passed away on Wednesday 10.06.99 morning due to complications stemming from a recent heart attack. He was 62 years old.

(Stamford, CT, 10.19.99) World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Inc. Effective Sunday, October 3 at 9:45 PM ET, Vince Russo, one of the creative writers, will no longer be with the WWF. Russo abruptly resigned over the phone and will now be working for WCW.

On 10.07.99 (Smackdown) Jeff Jarrett forced Miss Kitty (Stacy Carter) and Ivory to wrestle in mud. The winner would be the one who would strip the top off the other. Ivory won and Miss Kitty's breasts were exposed and shown on network TV (no censorship from UPN? not that we care or are offended by it). For those, who taped the show, could actually watch everything in slow motion or frame-by-frame. How did Miss Kitty be part of this harrasment? How low can the WWF go now, sexual harrasments, lawsuits from Sable and the Hart Family (Owen's death being blamed on the WWF)? According to the ECW hot-line, WCW has also a sex harrasment scandal.

Speaking of the Hart family, read what was printed on the October 2, 1999 issue of the Star Phoenix, page A6.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada (CP) The World Wrestling Federation and the family of Owen Hart are going to the mat about where the professional wrestler's wrongful death lawsuit will be heard. The federation filed a lawsuit Friday asking that the court venue be changed to Connecticut where the group has its headquarters. The Harts swiftly responded. "We will contest a change of venue," said Pam Fischer, the family's Calgary lawyer. "The accident happened in Missouri. We have retained council in Missouri. We filed the initial complaint in Missouri." WWF lawyers argue Hart's contract with parent company, Titan Sports, states any lawsuits must be decided by Connecticut law. "Owen signed a contract with Titan --- several contracts with Titan --- and the parties always agreed that if there were any disputes or injuries or things of that nature, up to and including death...any lawsuits that would follow would be litigated in Connecticut, said WWF lawyer Jerry McDevitt. Fischer said the contracts are no longer valid. "It also says in the contract the contract expires upon death." Fishcer said. "We treat it as null and void because it expired upon his death and he's obviously dead." Hart, also known as The Blue Blazer, was killed May 23 when he fell from a cable as he was being lowered into the ring at a WWF wrestling match at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri, Hart, 34, fell more than 21 meters when the release on his harness opened prematurely. Police investigated but concluded there wasn't enough evidence to lay criminal charges. The WWF wants the case moved to Connecticut courts simply because that's where the federation is based, said McDevitt, but he admitted laws differ in the two states. "There are differences in the laws of the two states that will come into play eventually," he said. Steve Thornberry, a Missouri lawyer of both parties, said a jury in the WWF homebase of Stamford, Connecticut, a seaside community across from Long Island N.Y., would likely be more favourable toward the WWF. But a change in venue is a moot point because Missouri law will still apply in the case, Thornberry said. "That's where the action has happened and that's where the (alleged) acts of negligence happened," Thornberry said.

The new tag champions are the Hollies (10.18.99) who beat the Rock and Sock Connection (Rocky and Mankind).

[From Christopher Robin Zimmerman 10.15.99] "Due to a contract dispute between Jim Ross and Jeff Jarrett [he would] be leaving the World Wrestling Federation for World Championship Wrestling. Although his contract with the WWF [expired] on 10.16.99, he [would] be at No Mercy on Sunday 10.17.99 which is a testament to the kind of human being Jeff Jarrett is. The WWF hopes to do business with Jeff again in the future." [Read my opinion.]

[From Christopher Robin Zimmerman] "Jim Johnston, the man who composes entrance themes for WWF Superstars, is not going anywhere. He's a very wealthy man due to stock options."

[From Christopher Robin Zimmerman] "The World Wrestling Federation has distributed non-compete forms to all employees, which prohibit any WWF employee from going to work for WCW/Ted Turner/Time Warner for one year after either resigning or being terminated from the World Wrestling Federation. All employees have signed this form. It's necessary in today's environment, where a millionaire is attempting to raid the Federation's talent. Other such companies, such as internet-related companies where there is intense competition, have the same policy."

I wrote about the Hart Foundation, remembering two wrestler who died, one who returned to the WWF, one who is WCW and one who returned to the independent circuit. Read about it now.

One of the best news of this month is Taz joining the WWF. On Wednesday, 09.21.99, Taz was in Stamford, Connecticut to officially sign his World Wrestling Federation contract at Titan Towers. In January 2000, Taz will join the WWF. He has spent six years helping to build his name and for Extreme Championship Wrestling. What follows is a small profile of the Human Suplex Machine. He is 5'9" 248 pounds, born on 10.11.67, from from Red Hook, Brooklyn, NY. He has been a pro-wrestler for 13 years. His highlights include winning the ECW World Title from Shane Douglas on 01.10.99 and being on the cover of the first ECW Magazine. He has held the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, ECW World Television Championship (twice), ECW World Tag Team Titles twice (first with Kevin Sullivan, then with Sabu) and the Fuck the World Title (FTW). He likes Led Zeppelin and Beastie Boys. Even though he has signed with WWF, he has performed in ECW cards, including next month's PPV November to Remember.

The British Bulldog became the European Champion again (10.28.99). It was about time that he re-gained some gold.

DX has re-united (RAW, 10.25.99). Hunter Hearst Helmsley, the Road Dogg, Mr Ass and X-Pac beat Stone Cold Steve Austin silly at the end of RAW. Chyna (the Intercontinental champion) may still be part of DX. The question is whether Shawn Michaels is still part of DX? DX indicated Vince McMahon that they were taking over the WWF (Samckdown, 10.28.99). They started by attacking the Rock, throwing him in the trunk of a car, and driving off with the Rock. X-Pac and Kane are not a tag team anymore because DX attacked Kane. They wanted to get Austin, but he attacked them one by one. Smackdown ended with Austin, the Rock (who came out of nowhere) and Kane beating DX. (It was a very good show.)

World Championship Wrestling
Effective Sunday, 10.03.99 at 9:45 PM ET, Vince Russo, one of the creative writers, will no longer be with the WWF. Russo abruptly resigned over the phone and will now be working for WCW.

ECW has been giving information on their hotline about a sex scandal in WCW. Wrestling stopped being fun for children. It is now an adult oriented type of entertainment. Read what I wrote about the WWF on the same topic.

It may be gossip or plain truth. I heard that Eric Bischoff is no longer part of WCW. He was fired about a month ago (?). If this is true, who would be the chief executive of WCW? I also heard that Hogan may have retired from wrestling (?). I heard that Hogan's knee was hurt badly and his knee may be irreparable.

DDP joined Sting and Luger forming a new Triad. They are not using the name though. Since Bam Bam Bigelow and Kanyon are gone (?), I guess that we could call it a Triad.

Bret Hart and Chris Benoit had a bout in honor of Owen Hart (10.05.99). WCW has broken the rules. They are talking about another promotion's wrestler (honoring Owen Hart).

The Outsiders The Outsiders are back to WCW. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall returned to WCW (10.04.99, 10.11.99, 10.18.99, 10.25.99). Bobby "the Brain" Heenan has interviewed them several times. They were even guest commentators. I knew that they would come back. There is just too much money involved to let them leave the promotion. They had a match with three barely clad women (Vegas Vixen as WCW calls them) who couldn't fight at all. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall lost in order for one of the girls to pull up her blouse and expose the volley balls (not breasts) under her shirt. While the Outsiders were coaxing a girl to do what she promised, Goldberg came from the back and waited for them to face them to give them a spear. Honestly how can the crowd root for this Stone Cold look-alike? At least the Outsiders with Sid Vicious helped Bret Hart win the US Heavyweight belt from Goldberg. The NWO might have returned.

Does anyone remember the Hart Foundation? Originally formed around 1984-86, the Hart Foundation was only Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart who were then managed by Jimmy Hart (not related). Later in 1997, the Foundation re-grouped with Owen Hart, the British Bulldog and Brian Pillman who died later that year. After some arguments between the Bret Hart and Vince McMahon, the remaining part of the Hart Foundation went to WCW, except for Owen who died in an accident on May 1999 and his family is suing Titan Sports (WWF) for his death. The British Bulldog was terminated due to a back injury and returned to the WWF. Jim Neidhart, who is still one of my favorite brawlers, has not been part of this promotion for probably six months. He was just part of the Heroes Of Wrestling PPV (10.19.99). The only part of the last incarnation of the Hart Foundation in WCW promotion is Bret Hart.

Bret Hart (10.15.99) complained that he left the WWF for WCW two years ago to fight Hogan for the WCW heavyweight belt. Bret Hart is a "good" guy again. He fought Sting for the title, but lost thanks to Lex Luger.

Filthy Animals, WCW The new tag team champions (10.15.99) are the Filthy Animals (Konnan and Rey-Rey) when they defeated the Harlem Heat. This was a nice surprise.

The best surprise was Jeff Jarrett, who crashed Nitro (10.15.99) breaking an acoustic guitar on Buff Bagswell's head (as usual). He lost or gave up the WWF Intercontinental championship to Chyna (10.14.99). Reporters knew that Jarrett was returning to WCW.

Konnan and Kidman won the tag team championship.

Sting lost the heavyweight championship. On Halloween Havoc he lost to Golberg, who took the belt. Since the match wasn't for the belt, Goldberg had to give it back. Since Sting attacked the referee, he wasn't given the title back but rather stripped from it. WCW started a 32-wrestler tournament for the heavyweight championship.

Bam Bam Bigelow is back (10.25.99) after a month after the triad disappeared (?).

Extreme Championship Wrestling
Dawn Marie Tammy Sytch is back in ECW. She had a sobbing, heart breaking interview on ECW at TNN (10.01.99). She is back and critized Dawn Marie, the Nitro Girls, Debra, Rena Mero and all other female non-wrestlers.

ECW has shown video clips of the past pay-per-view events, again and again. The promotion seems to have no material to put on TV. I haven't seen any new material on TNN or syndicated (on the MSG network in NYC) ECW shows. I haven't written any new material, criticism or what makes independent wrestling is very exiting. I have enjoyed their extreme wrestling for almost four years, which at times has been better than WWF and WCW (posted 10.07.99).

On ECW on TNN (10.15.99) there was some new action. I heard that ECW is spending close to $25,000 on every ECW show. The video quality has improved a lot, much clearer. The sound quality is also clearer, better recorded. The action is less graphic, less senselessly aggressive. Anyhow, ECW over all quality is very good nowadays.

Chris Candido (10.15.99) returned to ECW (taped about two weeks before, though) and lost a bout against Lance Storm. At the same time there was a cat fight between Tammy Sytch and Dawn Marie. As usual there was some outside help from Jason and Justin Credible.

Steve Corino had a brawl (aired 10.16.99 on syndication, MSG network in NYC) with two of the New Orleans Saints footballers (#88) Kyle Turkey and (#47) Josh Wilcox. Later that same night Tommy Dreamer (10.15.99 on TNN) won a bout against Steve Corino with some help from Raven.

Tajiri won a three-way-dance match against Simon (who went to the ring with Dick), and Little Guido (10.16.99).

National Wrestling Association
The following was sent by MC Wrestling. Controversy once again followed Naoya Ogawa as the former Olympic silver and bronze medalist regained the NWA World Heavyweight Title from Gary Steele in Thomaston, Connecticut this past Saturday night. Ogawa, who forced Steele to submit with a choke-hold in the center of the ring, didn’t realize that NWA New England’s Tony Rumble had a hand in the victory when he hit Steele with his helmet while Ogawa was faced away from him. After realizing what happened following the victory, Ogawa grew visually upset and challenged Rumble claiming he "didn’t need his help" to win the title back. Rumble, who earlier came out with Steele to "insure his victory," turned on the Brit at the six-minute mark, thus allowing Ogawa to begin his second title reign. Steele, who held the title for approximately seven days was visibly upset at Rumble in a post match interview promising to return to New England in the near future for revenge.

Capping off several months of internal strife and discord, the NWA's 51st Anniversary weekend not only produced two new world champions, but seemingly closed one chapter of controversy and opened another.

NWA When Naoya Ogawa took the NWA World Title from Dan "the Beast" Severn back in March, it ignited an internal fight between members, which remained intact, up to and through the annual meetings.

However, while the NWA organizational structure was being mended behind the scenes [see Board story below], the in-ring controversy continued unscathed as NWA UK's Gary Steele topped Ogawa in a triangle match with self-proclaimed NWA "True" Champion Brian Anthony to quiet the critics. Steele, who became the first ever British wrestler to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, relied on the wrestling basics by catching Ogawa off-guard in a schoolboy roll-up to take the title, following Ogawa's S.O.S. finisher on Anthony. Ogawa, however, cried foul on the finish, claiming first that Steele didn't beat him "face-to-face" and that NWA senior referee Fred Richards did a fast count on him in a "conspiracy" to get the title off of him. Ogawa has been publicly complaining recently about his treatment in the US by the NWA Executive Board - such as claiming failure to provide transportation between the airport, hotel and arena and thinks the NWA wants the title back in the US - demanded that his rematch with Steele in Connecticut on 10.02.99 be a no time limit contest and one fall to the finish. Originally thinking that he would be defending "his" title on the NWA New England card, Ogawa promised the Japanese press in attendance that he would regain the title and take it back to Japan to defend it against Shin'ya Hashimoto on 10.11.99 at the Tokyo Dome show.

The Womens National Wrestling Alliance (WNWA) has announced the completion of a bi-monthly pay-per-view agreement with Viewers Choice. The initial event titled Super Ladies Untamed, will take place on February 20, 2000. The second event date will be 04.30.00. The balance of the schedule for 2000 will be announced in January. WNWA President Tor Berg, expressed regret for the WNWA's inability to complete arrangements for its previously scheduled event intended for 08.29.99. Berg said, "this has been really difficult to set up because even though professional wrestling popularity is at an all time high a double standard kicks in when you mention an all woman event. Programmers like a sprinkling of women in mens events but, they shy away from an all women's event. Women programmers think that the women are being taken advantage of [no one bothers to ask the wrestlers their opinion] and male programmers think that their wives, sisters, girlfriends, etc. should be doing "woman" kind of things and not throwing each other around a wrestling ring [once again, no one has taken the time to ask the wrestlers what they think] fortunately for us Viewers Choice has a liberated programming department and an agreement could be reached directly with them without to much difficulty.

Berg continued, "The two questions everyone asks me are what wrestlers we are going to use and are we going to have a weekly program? Regarding talent we will have the best women wrestlers in the world in our events. We are fully aware that both WWF and WCW and to some extent ECW are on the lookout for women talent but, I don't believe they have looked real hard because we have found some wonderful wrestlers both in the USA and several other countries. The question regarding a weekly television program is a difficult one. The programmers problem I alluded to prior plus a resistance from many advertisers to sponsoring an all women wrestling program makes this area very doubtful. We are working on a bi-monthly live event on a national cable network that we feel would complement our bi-monthly PPV event nicely."

Berg further stated that the WNWA wanted to hold Super Ladies Untamed in Las Vegas, Nevada, but the Nevada Athletic Commission would not sanction two of the special matches that will be incorporated in the event. As a result a new location is being sought and should be in place prior to 11.01.99. Diverge Entertainment has been enlisted to distribute the event[s] worldwide.

At Loganville, Georgia Belle Flea Maket (10.14.99) Andy Anderson (flu), Frenchy Riviera (?), and Jimmy Rivers (transportation) were all scheduled but did not appear. Bill Behrens replaced Rivers as referee on most matches.

Jorge Estrada (10.14.99) pinned Mark Phor Michaels.

Onyx (10.14.99) pinned TJ Gray by disqualification when Gray first used a chair on Onyx then on referee Bill Behrens. Onyx was cut open badly on the top of his head.

Dango Wynn (10.14.99) against Adam Jacobs was declared a draw. David Young replaced Bill Behrens as referee for this match, which ended when both Wynn and Jacobs, tired of Young as referee, double teamed on him, sending him back to the locker room.

In the Mega Rumble (10.14.99) for the vacant NWA GA title (Bart Sawyer had been stripped of the title), the order of entry was Onyx, TJ Gray, AJ Styles, Dusty Dotson, Spade, Rick Michaels, Faku, David Young, Thunder, Mark Phor Michaels, Dando, Adam Jacobs and Jorge Estrada. Once Thunder hit the ring, soon only Dusty Dotson and Rick Michaels remained. All four wrestlers who entered after Thunder were quickly eliminated by the big man while Dotson and Michaels stayed out of the way. Finally it was down to just he three, until Thunder was eliminated, as he went to hit the ropes to come off with a double clothesline and the top rope was pulled down by David Young. Thunder fell over with additional help from Young. Michaels and Dotson battled until Dotson pulled off his boot, and hit Michaels. Referee Bill Behrens went to caution Dotson only to be knocked down from behind. Michaels then low blowed Dotson and managed to throw him over the top rope to become the new NWA GA Heavyweight Champion. Dotson grabbed he belt from Michaels after the match and challenged him to come and get it.

Sex Pistols (10.14.99) retained the NWA GA Tag belts in their match with the Samoan Deth Squad. Shane Young left the match with a twisted knee and was replaced by Rick Michaels. Match broke down at the end with all four wrestlers in the ring. David Young and Spade were the legal men. Referee Behrens was knocked down. Young hit the spinebuster on Faku, as Spade caught Michaels. Behrens recovered, counted the double pin, and called for the bell, then realized that neither man pinned was the legal man in the ring. He then ruled the match a draw.

Bert Prentice and Bill Behrens have sold the Nashville/Birmingham based MCW Promotion to two prominent Nashville businessmen in a deal that became official on 10.19.99. While the specifics of the deal remain confidential we do know that Bert Prentice will continue as General Manager for at least one year with a two year option. Bill Behrens will continue to work with Bert Prentice and remains television syndicator. The company will continue to be sanctioned by the NWA. The new ownership will be apparent almost immediately as one of the new owners owns a local advertisements agency and has a lot of clout in the Nashville television market. This is not a work, nor an angle. Neither Bert Prentice nor Bill Behrens owns even 1% of Nashville/Birmingham promotion as of 10.19.99. NWA Georgia ownership is not affected by this deal. The new Nashville/Birmingham Wrestling office phone number is 615-776-5001 and is expected to be operating by this weekend. The new Nashville owners look forward to working with the NWA in future endeavors including the possibility of hosting the 52nd NWA Convention in Nashville in 2000.

In Loganville, GA at the Georgia Belle Flea Market on 10.28.99, Air Paris was stripped of the NWA GA Jr title for failure to defend within 30 days. Paris was at the event but was injured and could not wrestle. A decision was made to award the title to Andy Anderson, who was the number one contender. Dusty Dotson challenged Anderson to a match with the winner becoming Jr champion. Anderson defeated Dotson and is the New NWA GA Jr heavyweight champion. He faces Air Paris in his first title defense on Thursday, 11-04.99, at the Wild Horse Country Music Showcase.

Independent Wrestling Federation
(Nutley, NJ) Plowing into North Jersey at a fever pitch, the Independent Wrestling Federation made its return to the Nutley Recreation Building in Nutley, New Jersey on 10.09.99, with "Rampage 99." A packed house of 319 frenzied fans witnessed the greatest event ever presented by the IWF, and the crowning of a new IWF Heavyweight Champion.

At the beginning of the show, Twiggy Ramirez, with manager Madonna Wayne Gacy, and Kevin Knight, with BobCat, joined IWF Commissioner Michael Braden for an interview to discuss the upcoming Ladder Match between these two popular athletes for Knight's IWF American Title. "Mr Showmanship" Rik Ratchet and "Big '80's" Donnie B. made their way to ringside to imply that one of the combatants has joined Steve Corino's "Elite Horsemen." After the claims were refuted, Corino himself spoke in a special interview stating that in fact, a contract has already been signed for the newest Horsemen member.

In the opening contest, high flying sensation Flash Wheeler took on arch-rival "Dirty" Don Montoya in a grudge match. Wheeler was looking for revenge from their June 22 bout in South Plainfield. Montoya had control most of the contest clobbering Wheeler with an arsenal of high-impact maneuvers until Flash was able to mount a comeback and hit his patented spine-buster slam at 6:58 minutes to get the win.

The next match saw CJ Summers battle the annoying "Sure-Thing" Ryan Wing. The aerial action went back and forth with a series of unique moves until Summers caught Wing off the top rope with a hurancanrana for the pin at 5:02 minutes.

Inferno Kid made his way down to the ring and ran down Nutley prior to his match the Biggie Biggs. The crafty Inferno, who infuriated the crowd, pounded Biggs down for most of the contest, but could not put the big rapper away. After Biggs fired-up on Inferno, he scored a near-fall with a backslide, but then got caught with a reverse blockbuster off the top rope for the pin at 6:04 as Inferno earn a victory and a shot at the IWF Heavyweight Title on 10.23.99 at Grand Slam USA in South Plainfield.

Next up was the Ladder Match for the IWF American Title between champion Kevin Knight and Twiggy Ramirez. Both men wrestled clean at the beginning with the thought that one of them had joined Corino's group in the back of their mind. Tempers flared and the ladder finally came into play in a big way as both men punished each other with brutal intensity. Knight executed a baseball slide into the ladder on Twiggy, then gave him a slingshot on the floor into the ladder while draped on the apron. As Knight was holding the ladder in the ring, Ramirez hit a monster leg lariat on the ladder into Knight. Knight gave twiggy a snake-eyes on the ladder outside of the ring, and then a second ladder came into play. With the ladder set up in opposite corners, Twiggy whipped Knight from one corner to the next and immediate hit his Kiddie Pop Drop, as Ratchet, Donnie and Inferno Kid came out and destroyed both participants, dispelling the rumor that one had joined the Horsemen. As both men regained their composure, Twiggy went for a sunset flip, but was cradled by Knight for the pin at 17:11 minutes to retain the gold.

Next up was the Rampage Rumble, with the winner to get an immediate shot against Ratchet for the IWF heavyweight title. The order of entry was CJ Summers, Biggie Biggs, Ryan Wing, Kevin Knight, Marc Verow, Donnie B, BobCat, Madonna Wayne Gacy, Don Montoya, Flash Wheeler, Twiggy Ramirez and Inferno Kid. The final four were Inferno and Montoya working over Wheeler and Ramirez. Wheeler was dumped and the double-team began. Montoya miss-fired off the top rope and was eliminated. Inferno then began pounding Twiggy, until Ramirez sent Inferno packing at 19:02 to win and earn a shot at Ratchet.

Ratchet, with Felipe the Poolboy at his side, jumped Ramirez and unleashed an all-out assault with a series of right hands and chops. Ratchet, the most hated man in wrestling, worked the crown into a frenzy as he beat down Twiggy. On his comeback, Twiggy hit several desperation near falls, including a cradle from a figure-four attempt, a DDT and a small package when Felipe's interference backfired. Ratchet was able to escape the Kiddie Pop Drop attempt and was handed brass knuckles by Felipe as he knocked out the challenger and scored the pin for the win. As IWF senior referee C.C. Adams raised Ratchet's arm in victory, the knuckles fell out off Ratchet's armpit, the match was restarted and Ramirez hit the Kiddie Pop Drop at 12:04 minutes for the win as he became a two-time IWF heavyweight champion.

(South Plainfield, NJ) The next IWF event is less than two weeks away, as "Evil Intentions" takes place Saturday afternoon, 10.23.99 at 1:30 PM at Grand Slam USA, 910 Oak Tree Road, South Plainfield, NJ. The turn of events from "Rampage" will have huge ramifications on this card, as more earth-shattering developments are likely to occur.

Topping the bill is a tag team match featuring top stars from Extreme Championship Wrestling. On one side is the most innovative wrestler in the world, Nova, and his partner Chris Chetti, who is rapidly rising to the top of the ranks. This popular duo is set to battle "Elite Horsemen" members "Old School" Steve Corino and "Dastardly" Danny Doring. This is sure to be a chaotic match between bitter enemies. Corino claims that although his newest "Elite Horsemen" member was not revealed in Nutley at "Rampage," he will be revealed at this event.

The New IWF Heavyweight Champion Twiggy Ramirez will defend his newly won title against number one contender Inferno Kid. Inferno is hot that Twiggy won the rumble in Nutley and comes looking to end Twiggy's second title reign. The IWF American Title will be on the line as Champion Kevin Knight, with BobCat, defends against former three-time IWF Heavyweight Champion "Mr Showmanship" Rik Ratchet, with his manager Donnie B. Ratchet is gunning to regain some IWF gold.

In a wild one-on-one inter-gender match, managerial adversaries BobCat and Donnie B. do battle. In Nutley, BobCat, who held her own in the rumble, eliminated Donnie, but the devious one pulled the vixen over the top from the outside to get her out of the bout. The hatred rages on. Other great action features Biggie Biggs, The Untouchables, Marc Verow and more. Tickets are only $14 and are available now at Grand Slam USA, 908-756-4446. Fans who attended "Rampage 99" in Nutley can save $2.00 with their ticket stub at the door when attending "Evil Intentions."

Mean Marc Ash and on again/off again manager Ivan Koloff have finally parted way. Ash wrestled Viper for the vacant World Class US Title and won the match, thanks to outside interference from Koloff. Ash then called out his friend Dartagnan and challenged him to a match. They were trash talking each other and got face to face. Dartagnan then shoved Ash who took a huge fall and just laid there (like Kevin Nash). Dartagnan then dropped down and got the three count. Ash rose immediately laughing hysterically. He then hugged Dartagnan.

Koloff was not happy with his turn of events and let his opinion be known. Ash reminded him that he has a shot at the new World Class heavyweight champion Juice later in the evening. Koloff responded, "Two belts are better than one!" Ash assured Koloff that he knew what he was doing and had the situation under control. The two seemed to have come to an understanding. Then came the last match of the evening, World Class champion Juice to defend against Mean Marc Ash. Ash came out first without Koloff. Ash had to scream at Koloff to come to ringside. Once the match got underway, Ash and Koloff functioned together as they always had. Ash would distract the referee and Koloff would attack his opponent. The came the climax point of the match, the referee was distracted and Ash hooked Juice in a full nelson and called for Koloff to hit him with the chain. Juice ducked and Koloff hesitated but, shook his head and said "oh well" and hit Ash with the chain. Juice then continued his onslaught on Ash, the referee got knocked down in the process. Juice executed his finisher "The Chronic" but, no referee to count. To everyone's surprise Koloff entered the ring and made the three count. Ash was livid, he demanded Koloff return to the ring with an explanation. The two exchanged words for several minutes. This continued until Ash shoved Koloff. Koloff responded by kicking Ash in the midsection, hitting with the chain, and dropping a leg drop. Koloff then began to whip Ash with the chain. Ash grabbed the chain and rose to his feet and kicked Koloff in the mid section, punched Koloff, and Koloff retreated from the ring. Ash then issued a challenge to Koloff for World Class Wrestling's 10.21.99 show in Wilmington, NC for a Russian Chain Match. Koloff accepted. Match Results are as follows. Ultimate Wrestling Alliance
The following was sent by UWA. The first series of UWA Wrestling Rampage ends this Saturday (10.16.99). UWA have learned huge amounts from this first half year of television programming. We will be using this experience to make our next series more polished than ever. During our first run, we have received thousands of letters, and hundreds of e-mails providing us with excellent feedback. We will use this feedback to make sure our next series is even more entertaining. We feel vindicated in our achievements here at UWA, we have succeeded in making the UWA the biggest brand in British wrestling, with peaks of 150,000 people per week tuning into Live TV to watch UWA wrestling Rampage. We competed on a weekly basis to be LIVE's best rated program. All this and achieved (more's the pity) on shoe-string budgets.

In phase two of UWA's developments we intend to change this. We have successfully created the base, on which to grow significantly. The next stage in our development will see the UWA metamorphose into a bigger, stronger, organization.

Look out for our announcements over coming weeks (not least) our intention to create a home for UWA and British wrestling. UWA thanks for your continued support and stay tuned for the next stage of UWA.

Frontier Wrestling Alliance - UK
The following was sent by FWA. The PWA show in Salisbury (10.06.99) was a huge success with an audience of about 400 turning up to see the stars of PWA and FWA wrestling.

Mark Sloan and Paul Travell defeated the Alchemists (Enigma, Luthan and Ashe) in a handicap tag match.

Nighthawk beat Blade.

Mark Sloan and Paul Travell beat Kevin O'Neil and Zombie.

Apparently Kevin O'Neil hurt himself in his match when Paul Travell powerbombed him. I managed to speak to O'Neil on the phone earlier today and he had this to say about the injury. He said, "All I got to say is that if Paul Travell thinks he's getting away my trying to put me out he's got another thing coming. Just because he's 250 miles away he thinks he's safe. Sooner or later I'll catch up with him and there'll be hell to pay. If Mark Sloan even entertains the idea of backing him up my boys will take care of him."

You might be wondering who Nighthawk is? Well it's actually the man formerly known as X-Factor from the FWA Midlands roster. I hope to find out more about this name change for your fans in a future newsletter.

There is a rumor recently that a CGWA match has been signed at the up coming FWA South show in Portsmouth on 07.26.99. Steve Noble has signed to wrestle anyone from the CGWA roster. Not sure who is opponent is yet but names I have heard bandied about are Paul Phoenix and James Baker.

ECWscotland
All results were supplied by Frankie Mooney from Scotland. ECWscotland first Live Event was at Laurel Drive arena in Craigneuk, Scotland. Performing before a sell out crowd of 350 spectators. ECWscotland's very first debuting show subtitled, Shockwave kicked off with a bang live from the Laurel Drive Arena in Craigneuk, Scotland. Triple D (Diamond Dallas Daly) made his way to ringside with the ECWscotland World Championship strap over his right shoulder. Triple D got the citizens of Craigneuk in a frenzy by stating that they were low-life scum compared to Triple D. Triple D then stated that in the main event, the people of Craig "Scum" was going to witness The Y2F Problem get a "Beat Down" off the ECWscotland world champion. The crowd in attendance promptly started to chant " Y2F" in unison. This made Triple D desperately uncomfortable, He then shouted "All You People Suck" as he left the ring with his world strap with a very cross face on him. The crowd in attendance were loving it already.

In The next match to decide who would face Vain for the ECWscotland Television Title, the Big K was gong to be taking on the 6-foot monster the Masked Villain in a hardcore no holds barred match-up, The Big K made his way promptly to the ring with the fans already shouting his name and The Big K got a good atmosphere around him. The Masked Villain came out to the sound of the War Sirens, the crowd gasped in shock as how tall and monstrous The Masked Villain was, and how in the hell was The Big K going to face him. The Masked Villain was in control the whole match and was never put down onto the canvas. The Masked Villain signaled for the T-Bomb the well known powerful powerbomb, he lifted the young athlete Big K up, but in a desperation move, The Big K reversed it into a hurricanrana. The crowd were on the edge of their seat, as to the move they had just seen. Vain soon appeared with the TV belt. He hit The Masked Villain with it hoping to knock him out, 3 seconds later The Masked Villain performed an Undertaker style sit-up and delivered the T-Bomb to The Big K through a cardboard box, for the 3-count. Vain ran in horror to this victory. The Masked Villain was going to be facing Vain for the TV title later in the show.

The Embalmer made his way to the ring and grabbed the microphone from ring announcer, Tony Larkin. He stated that there was a new superstar who had just came into the federation by the name of Rock'n Rudder. He stated that he was going to show Rock'n Rudder just who is boss in a First Blood Match later on in the show. The Embalmer got a good ovation for his first time appearance.

Vain made his way next to the ring with his ECWscotland TV title, he made it clear that The Masked Villain was a no-competitor for his TV title. The Masked Villain came out, to the most loudest sounds of "gasps" Vain stood his ground until The Masked Villain swing for Vain. Vain abruptley ducked the motion and delivered a low blow. Not harming The Masked Villain, The Masked Villain suplexed Vain into a cardboard box full of Sharp razors. The Masked Villain then picked the surprisingly unhurt Vain back to his feet to deliver the big Boot. Vain was knocked out The Masked Villain stood there for a while watching Vain get back to his feet, Vain pummeled The Masked Villain with a wooden chair which broke in half with the third strike. The Masked Villain not being hurt in anyway, The Masked Villain signaled for the T-Bomb and delivered it to Vain right through a plastic table. Referee Kevin McGeachan made the pin, but unfortunately interrupted by Triple D who hit The Masked Villain with the World Strap. This time the Masked Villain was down and staying down. Triple D put Vain over The Masked Villain and Referee Kevin McGeachan accompanied the move with a pin. Vain defending his championship against The Big 6-foot Monster Masked Villain. The Masked Villain got back to his feet and ran after the duo backstage with a crowbar which he found in a nearby box.

The Y2F Problem appeared with microphone in hand. He handed out his $40 shades to a fan in the crowd, impersonating his hero Bret "Hitman" Hart. The crowd was now behind him at full potential. The Y2F delivered a hart felt speech about his career in ECWscotland and how he has made his way to the top and he isn't going to let an opportunity like this down. He also stated that Triple D should forget about the Y2K because now The Y2F was slowly going to come for him. The fans cheered the arena out as Y2F leaves.

The Masked Villain appeared next for his second time that night, a strange voice (Kane like, WWF) stated that he wanted a tag team partner to face Vain, and The Embalmer and that person was Triple D who came out and finally after a long conversation he accepted. Vain and The Embalmer appeared and the match started. ECWscotland referee Kevin McGeachan was knocked out a maximum of five times this match. The match went long and hard, in the final outcome Rock'n Rudder appeared and hit The Embalmer with a lethal chalk to the eyes stunt, which I think was not chalk but Sherbet; it smelled like it anyway. The Masked Villain countered Rock'n Rudders move and lifted The Embalmer up for a back body drop, which in turn Triple D hit with the Diamond Cutter while The Embalmer was falling to the crowd. The referee administered the three-count, giving TMV and Triple D the win.

After the fifteen-minute interval Rock'n Rudder appeared followed by The Embalmer as The First Blood Match started. Lethal blows were exchanged but none were so serious to draw blood. In the final moments of the match, The Embalmer hit Rock'n Rudder with a chair, but Rock'n Rudder after the lethal hit, smacked The Embalmer with it so hard half of the world could have probably heard it. It suddenly drew blood from The Embalmer giving Rock'n Rudder the win, the crowd screamed and chanted at the view of the bloody mess, the Embalmer.

For the main event, the music started to play signaling the main event, Triple D appeared at the ring, carrying some sort of box with him, he said Y2F was going to get thrown in this and burned alive. The crowd started to chant Y2F as Triple D waited in anticipation for Y2F to appear. Y2F appeared and the crowd went crazy. He handed out the shades to a little girl in the crowd, the crowd all trying to touch him was in an up-roar as Triple D sneaked behind Y2F and delivered a smack with the world belt, the match was underway. Triple D attempted a few clotheslines, but they were reversed or ducked by The Y2F Problem, The Y2F finally signaled that he was going for a moonsault off of a six-foot fence. The crowd started to chant "Y2F". He climbed it and then hit with the moonsaultfor the pin. Triple D got his shoulder up. Triple D then chokeslammed Y2F into the box which earlier Triple D said he was going to burn Y2F in. He closed it up and the crowd started to chant "Y2F Get Out". Slowly Smoke started to pulp from the box. The crowd were in amazement. Suddenly a firework blew up in the box, and Y2F appeared unscratched up on a nearby balcony. Triple D stared in amazement as Y2F climbed down and he hit Triple D with a stick then signaled for the Millennium Meltdown, Triple D then grabbed a spade and hit Y2F over the head with it, Y2F was busted open, Triple D then went for the pin but Y2F got up. Suddenly Y2F got up and kicked Triple D in the mid-section and delivered the Millennium Meltdown, (Famouser from top-rope) for the three-count. Triple D is no longer the World Champion. Y2F has accomplished the inevitable, and became ECWscotland World Champion. The show went off the air as Triple D hit Y2F with the spade again then threw him into a nearby van, which was waiting. Then they drove off as the show went off the air.

Afterwards, ECWscotland new signing Brian Harvey, was signing Autographs as he makes his debut on 11.20.99, at November To Remember, live from St. Margarets Drive, Netherton, Scotland.
