I haven't been able to
update my site for two long weeks. The US Open
(nice though) was on eight hours a day. It didn't let me watch much wrestling or
TV for that matter. Add the fact that the Microsoft Windows
operating system still has many bugs. I had to wipe out everything on my
hard-drive. I have been either watching tennis or trying to re-install
Windows in my
computer (looking for the Windows
installation disks that came with the computer. IBM
supplies Windows
in a disk labeled Product Recovery (a BIOS-locked disk image), not labeled as
the operating system. Now some of friends understand why I want to learn
Linux. The
system is great though, great hardware (picture of the E26 on the left), but
Microsoft Windows
is still a mess.
World Wrestling Federation
Some things have gotten out
of hand in WWF. The Big Bossman "cooked" Pepper, Al Snow's dog and
"fed" Snow "Pepper Steak" (Smackdown 09.02.99). I hope that
it was just a stupid storyline. Otherwise someone should sue the WWF for
mistreating an animal.
Also Jeff Jarrett has fallen
in the mistreating rage. He attacked Jacqueline senselessly and the Great Moola,
who might be in her 50's (Smackdown, 09.09.99), Cindy Margolis and Ivory (both
on Smackdown, 09.16.99) to name a few.
The British Bulldog is back.
He returned to action at last on (Smackdown, 09.09.99) beating the Big Bossman
for the hardcore title. When leaving the ring, he handed the title to Al Snow.
Therefore Al Snow is the new hardcore champion. The Bulldog's was shocker for
everybody and very strange. He told everyone that he has held every belt except
the world title and he plans to get it. The Bulldog got the Untertaker's slot
for chance to fight for the heavyweight championship (Smackdown, 09.23.99) at
Unforgiven (09.26.99). He also turned his back to the re-instated Vince McMahon,
joining forces with Hunter.
The tag team championship
has changed hands. X-Pac and Kane held them a couple of weeks. The Hardy Boyz
had them. Mankind and the Rock also had the belts for a week or so. The
Undertaker and the Big Show recovered the belts on 09.06.99. I couldn't even
follow or log who won the titles from whom because my system was down. Mankind
and the Rock recovered the tag team belts (09.20.99) and lost them to the
re-united New Age Outlaws (09.23.99).
Due the continuous assaults
to referees, the latter decided to go on strike (09.16.99). The biggest surprise
came later as Vince McMahon became the new WWF champion. Hunter Herst Helmley
insulted and challenged Vince to a match. Hunter had asked Shane McMahon to be
the special referee. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin stunned Hunter and Chyna. Shane
had the three-count to make his father the new champion. Vince McMahon gave up
the belt and was re-instated by Austin (RAW, 09.20.99) who had power to so from
the contract that banned the WWF owner from being an active CEO. Therefore to
declare a champion, the re-instated WWF owner ordered a tournament which would
take place at Unforgiven (09.26.99) between Kane, Paul Wight, the Rock, Mankind,
Hunter, the British Bulldog (taking the place of the Undertaker who allegedly
left the promotion) with Austin as the special referee. Austin would get a shot
at the title right away.
World Championship Wrestling
The world champion was Hulk
Hogan. He has found a new friendship in Bill Goldberg (surprising when they
hated each other not even a year ago). He defended the world against Sting
(09.12.99) on Fall Brawl, where he lost the title to the Stinger. He has had Lex
Luger on his case telling everyone, Sting specially, that the Hulkster is not to
be trusted Luger accused Hogan of being the driver of the car that crashed into
the limousine that Kevin Nash was in. After all, Hogan was the leader of the
NWO. Hulk Hogan has Bret Hart's support (09.13.99).
The new champion Sting has
the support of Lex Luger. He also has Diamond Dallas Page (maybe the rest of
Triad, Bam Bam Bigelow and Kanyon too) on his side. Page came to the ring
(09.13.99) when Sting and Luger had a match against Hogan and Bret Hart. Luger
hit Hart in the face with a bat. What the hell is going on? Sting and Luger are
now heels (?) and both Hogan and Bret Hart are good guys (??).
The big news in WCW has been
kept quiet (except by ECW). Those wrestlers who have not been happy in WCW could
walk out of their contracts without legal problems of any kind, as permitted by
Eric Bischoff. Raven was one of the first ones to leave WCW.
WCW and
TNT changed the
schedule of the re-run of Nitro again. It now starts at 2:00 in the morning on
09.13.99. Because I have my VCR to start recording at 3:00 in the morning, I
barely saw about two hours. If we do not count the useless video material, it
may only be an hour's worth. I wonder why I bothered taping it. On 09.27.99
they changed the time again, now at 1am. I missed half of the show again.
Hurricane Floyd forced WCW
to cancel their live wrestling event (Thunder, 09.16.99) in the Carolina's area.
WCW ran a series of video clips from its past pay-per-view events, including the
Great American Bash. It was a nice show though. Somehow WCW has kept Kevin Nash
in everyone's mind. I think that Kevin Nash (one of my favorite wrestlers) is
coming back to WCW very shortly.
Extreme Championship Wrestling
On 09.05.99 ECW showed a
collection of video clips with Raven and Tommy Dreamer beating their brains out
for Belulah. Raven returned to ECW and won the tag team belts from the Dudleys
with his former enemy Tommy Dreamer (taped in Queens 08-26.99). Raven and Tommy
Dreamer winning the tag team belts aired on 09.07.99 and 09.14.99. What is the
hype behind this?
TNN
and the MSG network
(in NYC) have shown the advertisement for ECW action figures on both ECW shows.
Now, when is the ECW video game coming out?
As for the ECW championship,
Shane Douglas was the first ECW champion when he turned the Eastern Championship
Wrestling to Extreme Championship Wrestling on 08.27.94. The Sandman won it on
04.15.95, on 12.09.95 and on 1996. Mickey Shipwreck won it later on 1995. Raven
won it twice in 1996. Terry Funk won it on 04.01.97 and lost it to Sabu some
time on early 1996. Shane Douglas won it back in 1997 and later on the November
to Remember PPV. On 10.16.97 Bam Bam Bigelow won it from his them friend part of
the Triple Threat. Taz beat Douglas for the title on 01.10.99. On the Anarchy
Rulz PPV Taz lost the title to Mike Awesome (09.19.99). Taz was the second best
champion that ECW ever has had. The best champion of course was Shane Douglas.
Of course the weirdest one spot belongs to Raven.
National Wrestling Association
The following was sent by
MC Wrestling. In Loganville, GA 09.02.99 at the Georgia Belle Flea Market the
show opened with the announcement that Senior Referee, David Lee had been
injured and was retiring as a referee. David Lee is now the Loganville
Commissioner. Later Dusty Dotson defeated Jason Powers (Dotson used the cowboy
boot to knock out Powers, when the referee was distracted by Rick Michaels).
Rick Michaels defeated Dango In Michaels first Loganville appearance, he was
able to get the win using a chair. NWA GA Tag Champions, the Sex Pistols (David
and Shane Young) came out for an interview and aid they did not feel that the
Samoan Deth Squad deserved a title shot, and that they should first prove
themselves against Rick Michaels and Mark Phor Michaels. New Commissioner, David
Lee, left it up to the Deth Squad who agreed to face the Michaels' team. Samoan
Deth Squad defeated Rick and Mark for Michaels (Mark Phor Michaels as pinned
after a Samoan Deth Drop). Sex Pistols defeated Samoan Deth Squad (During the
match, Rick Michaels, Mark Davis, and Mark Phor Michaels all came to ringside
and got involved. As the Deth Squad was cleanng house on the interfering
wrestlers, Spade was pinned after walking into a David Spinebuster.)
In NWA Worldwide and Wildside
News of 09.04.99, the new venue for NWA Worldwide in Nashville, TN was announced
on WUXP-TV 30.
The Nashville Municiple Auditorium in downtown Nashville will be the new home
for the NWA. The first show is set for Saturday 10.02.99. DOA (8-Ball and Skull,
the Harris Brothers) were announced for the show, as was Terry Taylor.
On 09.08.99, the wrestling
world suffered a great loss. Brian Hildebrand (referee Mark Curtis) passed away.
He will be missed by family and his many friends. He was a class act and will be
remembered.
In NWA Worldwide and Wildside
News of 09.13.99, several interesting bits of news out of the 09.12.99 TV taping
at Coleman Teleproductions. First Mike Raparada (Colorado Kid) was defeated by
Big Bully Douglas who is the new NWA North American Champion. "The Real
Deal" Ron Harris was involved leading to a brawl between him and Raparada.
During the brawl the wrestler fell down a flight of stairs. Ron Harris appeared
to have suffered a broken arm, but later x-rays confirmed that the arm was not
broken, rather severely bruised. No information on how long Harris may be out of
action.
Due to political commitments
Jerry Lawler was not able to appear in Fredericktown, MO on Saturday 09.11.99.
He was replaced by Spellbinder with Brian Christopher who defeated Barry
Houston.
The NWA Wildside Report
(09.18.99) is as follows. Chief Jay Eagle pinned TJ Gray in 6:32 minutes with
his feet on the ropes for leverage.
Mark Davis (09.18.99) entered
the building about halfway into the match and took a seat with the Sign Guys
were he remained for most of the night. Stone Mountain with Jeff G. Bailey
squashed Onyx in 22 seconds with a monstrous version of the X Factor. Bailey got
on the microphone and told Onyx he was kind of small but if he made a good
showing against Stone Mountain, Bailey would invite him to join his team of
"Afro-American Supermen" (no way).
Faku (09.18.99) of the Samoan
Deth Squad beat Steve "The Natural" Crowe in 4:11 minutes to advance to the
second round of the Wildside tournament. Crowe has an interesting entrance
coming out wearing with two 45-pound plates chained together over his shoulder
and carrying a chair in his hand. Crow attacked Faku at the bell, but Faku got
the advantage out on the floor and used a chairshot and a throatdrop on the
guard rail. I missed the finish because I was admiring the devil's horns being
worn by Sign Guys.
Colt Rivers (09.18.99) beat
Shawn Banks in 4:28 minutes with a suplex followed by a legdrop. They did a nice
series of spots where Rivers went for a powerbomb, which Banks reversed into a
huracanrana. Then with Rivers on the floor, Banks went for a suicide dive over
the top but Rivers caught him and delivered what looked like a backbreaker to
take over. Rivers dropped Banks of the railing and hit a brainbuster. Banks made
a comeback but missed a moonsault and Rivers took it home from there.
Ed Swimmer (09.18.99) beat
Ice Pick in 52 seconds with a rollup when Rukkus came to ringside and distracted
Ice Pick. Swimmer is about Spike Dudley's size. Before the match, Jeff G. Bailey
was on the microphone asking for the some competition and a stretcher. Krush and
Vic Violent were also at ringside for this match and they all attacked Rukkus
after the pin. Bad Black and Beautiful (Billy Simmons and Shawn Powers) made the
save for a brief but heated 6-man brawl. Rukkus asked BBB to join him in
challenging Bailey's "Afro-American Supermen" later in the show and they
accepted. Spade of Samoan Deth Squad lost to Mr Extreme (Terry Lawler) in 4:24.
Lawler is kind of a poor man's Tommy Dreamer. This was the hardcore match of the
night. Spade used a stiff clothesline and a legdrop. They went to the floor and
used a stick and some baking pans on each other. Spade shattered some kind hard
plastic platter over Lawler's head and he was juicing big time. Lawler got the
advantage back in the ring and used something like a leapfrog from behind onto
Spade's neck for the win. Lawler also advance in the Wildside Tournament.
The Ironmen (Jorge Estrada
and Jason Powers) (09.18.99) beat the Sex Pistols (David Young and Shane Austin
Young) in a non-title match in 5:21 minutes when the Boogaloo Crew distracted
the Sex Pistols. Shane Austin is just an awesome heat drawing machine. He has a
mouth like a horse and he knows how to use it to whip the fans into a frenzy. I
can see why he has done well in Nashville. He is small and has no physique, but
he works his ass off during a match. Sex Pistol had most of the offense until
Powers avoided Young who smashed face first into the turnbuckles. The Pistol
came back with doubleteams and had Estrada for a two count when Boogaloo Crew
came to ringside. Austin and Young looked like they didn't know what hit them
after the match, funny stuff. During the intermission, Bill Behrens did a
drawing with the winning fan being allowed into the dressing room for a picture
with the wrestler of his/her choice. Mark Davis got on the microphone and
insulted the fans shutting up one guy who he said had a "kindergarten body and a
third grade chest". Romeo Bliss beat Al Horne in 3:36 when he reversed Horn into
a piledriver. Bliss is really fun doing a Ric Flair-style heel routine. Sign
Guys chanted "Bon Jovi Hair" at Horn courtesy of the witty mind of Mark Davis.
NCW US Champion, Jessie
Taylor, beat TA Knight of the Beach Patrol in 4:48 minutes (09.18.99). This was
the most athletic match so far. Knight used the more inventive move, but Taylor
was very solid on offense as well. Taylor caught Knight coming off the top one
to many times and hit a belly to belly for the win, but Romeo Bliss hit the ring
for the angle of the night. He belted Taylor with a bottle of George Dickel
bourbon and then poured it all over him before downing some himself. BBB and
Rukkus beat Vic Violent, Ice Pick and K Krush along with Jeff G. Bailey on a
disqualification in 7:21 minutes. Shane Eden's dancing can't touch the ring
entrance of Krush. WCW would have been a lot better off with this guy than
Master P. The more I see of Bailey, the more I like him. He has a great
greaseball-weasel-attorney look and he the guy can talk. BBB worked with Violent
and Ice Pick almost all the way. BBB looked good but Violent screwed up some
spots. Krush got in one nice offensive move, but that was it. Rukkus squared off
with Krush at the end which drew super heat before Krush bailed out. I sure hope
they book a match with those two. Come to think of it, Bert should bring this
one to the Municipal Auditorium. David Young and Shawn Austin Young cut a
blistering promotional clip. Told the Boogaloo crew that they were committing
career suicide. Austin scored points for originality anyway comparing the BLC to
a slimy green booger that was stuck to his finger, disgustingly graphic.
In another Wildside
Tournament match (09.18.99), Frenchy Riviera beat KC Thunder in 6:44 minutes to
advance to the next round. Riviera got a great response coming out as if people
recognized him from the NWA Worldwide television exposure. He gave them the full
scale Frenchy male stripper routine, just hilarious. Frenchy had the better of
it until Thunder caught with the drop toehold onto a chair. Thunder followed
with a chair to the head and Frenchy was busted open. Riviera came back with a
clothesline and and huge elbow for a near fall before Frenchy won it with a
messed up powerslam.
AJ Styles (09.18.99) beat
Mark Phor Michaels with Rick Michaels and John Cheatum in 7:31 minutes. This was
an excellent and stiff match with super heat. Styles is by far the most over guy
in this building and he has the athletic ability to back it up. He misses some
stuff but for such a short time in the business, he's pretty incredible.
Michaels interfered liberally with some helpful distraction by Cheatum. Two
great false finishes on Styles building to the finish: one was setup by a
Michaels and Michaels doubleteam where they pulled Styles' arms across his chest
and delivered a double Russian legs-sweep and on the other Rick Michaels
clothes-lined Styles as he came off the top rope. Styles came back with a back
flip for a near fall of his own but Rick Michaels distracted the referee yet
again. MPM was ready to nail Styles with a chain supplied by Cheatum when Tanya
Michaels hit the ring and used a fine-looking DDT on Mark Phor. Some really good
near falls on Styles building to the finish. Rick Michaels was livid after the
match and goaded Behrens and Martin into signing a match for 10.02.99 between
Mark Phor Michaels and Tanya Michaels. One stipulation was added though: Rick
Michaels will be handcuffed to AJ Styles during the match. Thunder against
Patriot ended in a disqualification when Stone Mountain entered the ring at 1:31
minutes to attack Thunder. Patriot used a low blow on Stone Mountain and Thunder
followed with a clothes-line. Krush, Violent and Ice Pick came out but backed
down from Thunder and Patriot. The Main Event had NCW Champions, the BLC who had
no contest with the NWA Georgia champions, the Sex Pistols, that lasted 14:09
minutes. Sex Pistols were in control most of the way using a lot of nice
double-teams spots by Sex Pistols including some that back fired leading to some
funny heat spots between the two. Dazz did an insane spot where he hit Austin
with a flying headscissors and took him over the top rope to the floor. Not much
room for that kind of thing in Cornelia. "Opie", the referee, took a
baseball slide from Sex Pistols to set up the finish where David Young followed
a low blow with a spine-buster and Austin Young used a chair on Dazz. The
Pistols taped BLC to the ropes and taunted them with their belts before leaving
them laying to close the show. The crowd at the NCW Arena was down from previous
tapings with no more than 150 in the house.
Loganville Show Report
(09.30.99) is as follows. Onyx pinned TJ Gray using a chain. Gray got hit with
the chain after the match and used it on Onyx.
Faku (09.30.99) and Jason
Powers defeated the Sex Pistols in a two out of three fall match to become the
NWA GA Tag Team Champions. The match started with Shane Young facing Jason
Powers. Powers was scheduled to tag with Rukkus who no showed the event. David
Young joined Shane making it two on one until Faku came out to be Powers'
partner. Sex Pistols took the first fall, but the team of Powers and Faku took
the next two falls and became new champs. The Youngs promised to get the
decision reversed by calling NWA President, Howard Brody. Sex Pistols came out
with a cell phone and Howard Brody on the line. Brody said that the Pistols
would retain the belts as the substitution of Faku for Rukkus was not approved
by the NWA Board prior to the match. However, Brody did demand that the Pistols
would defend the belts on 10.14.99 in Loganville against the Samoan Deth Squad
(Faku and Spade). Jason Powers will be in England on a tour at that time.
Dango (09.30.99) defeated
"Stardust" Dusty Dotson after avoiding Dusty's boot and rolling him up
for the win.
Thunder (09.30.99) faced the
Young Lions (Toy Dodson and Adam Jacobs) until the Sex Pistols came out and
challenged Thunder. After a powerbomb and chokeslam on each Pistol, Thunder
pinned both. Just then Bart Sawyer and Andy Anderson from NWA Puerto Rico showed
up and the Sex Pistols were forced into their third match of the evening. Once
again the Pistols lost, but remained the NWA GA Tag Team Champions when the
evening was over.
"First of all, I (Bert
Prentice) want to thank the 633 loyal fans that came to the Nashville Municipal
Auditorium for our first card in our new home. Isn’t the atmosphere in that
building incredible? If I knew how we would feel, I would have left the
Fairgrounds a year ago. The management at the Auditorium made us feel so
welcome, they are professionals, something we were not used to. There are a
couple of changes we will be making for the next card on November 6th, mostly to
do with arena floor staffing. All seats for the 11.06.99 show will remain $5.00.
Jerry Lawler and Miss Kitty will be joining us and I am working on a pretty big
surprise. Jim Cornette, Bill Behrens and I had a 90 minute meeting with Terry
Taylor prior to the Nashville card regarding our future in regards to the WWF
involvement, we tentatively have agreed to become a WWF "Farm System" with the
understanding our boys already in place get a fair shot at some development
deals also. I particular I believe Corly Williams, Ashley Hudson and Chris
Michaels are worthy. Mike Rapada is already in. I also believe Faron Foxx works
his ass off and gets no credit, yet he remains one of this company’s most loyal
performers and is a first class entertainer. Barry Houston’s work rate is first
class. Bart Sawyer has more than paid his dues. Unfortunately, paying dues has
not got much to do with it anymore. We agreed to bring in 4 more developmental
guys and help them along. It is really an exciting time here at NWA Worldwide.
I really believe the Municipal is going to be a strong force for us. The ticket
buy back for 11.06.99 was 35%, which is way above average. The
UPN Nashville
ratings are real good and getting better every week. We just landed three new
sponsors, one has signed for a budget higher than our whole gross sales last
year. Things are very bright right now and we could have not gotten the
Auditorium, sponsors or prime TV stations without you great Nashville fans
standing behind us all the way. You are so very much appreciated. I am also
doing best to have Nashville host the NWA 52nd Convention next October, wouldn’t
that be great. I would love to show off you fans for the NWA. We also have a
huge Casino deal working in Louisiana that looks like we will be able to do some
pretty exciting things at that level real soon. Thanks again fans, we appreciate
you so much. I hope we will continue to serve you for many years to come."

Championship Pro Wrestling / Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling
The following was sent by
CP Wrestling. Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling returned to the Hamburg
Fieldhouse on Friday night, 09.24.99 with a night of non-stop action. As a
change in the usual format, there was no intermission and the PCW rocked the
Fieldhouse for nearly two and a half hours. It was a night of some impressive
debuts in the PCW as well as some major surprises.
In the first match, Ty Street
defeated Hardcore Nick Mondo. A high-paced matchup marked the opening of the
night, which saw Ty Street take the win over Hardcore Nick Mondo at around the
three minute mark when Mondo was unable to take advantage of Street with his
cookie sheet. Instead, it was Ty who used the cookie sheet and then landed the
Tyakazi for the pinfall victory.
In the second match, Vincent
Goodnite defeated Eddie Valentine. On the heels of an announcement during Judd
the Stud’s latest "Steamroom" interview segment, Vincent Goodnite was
able to start the night out with a win over Eddie Valentine in five minutes.
In the third match, Johnny
Maxx and Scott Furie beat "Fabulous" Mozart Fontaine and Sweet Mr E.
E.S. Easton accompanied two of his "Box Office" members to the ring in
this matchup. The "Fabulous" Mozart Fontaine and Sweet Mr E took
control of this match early and often double-teamed Johnny Maxx. The match did
not turn sides until Maxx made a blind tag to his partner Scott Furie who got
into the ring and landed his big splash to lead his team to victory. In the
fourth match Ground Zero defeated Hardcore Nick Mondo. Standing higher than six
feet tall and weighing in at just over 300 pounds, Ground Zero, the bodyguard of
mysterious manager, El Hijo del Muerte, is one of the most powerful forces in
Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling today. Mondo returned to the ring claiming
that he is the only hardcore wrestler in the PCW, but was sadly mistaken when
Ground Zero approached the ring and dominated the match and gaining his first
win of the evening.
In the fifth match, Krueger
and Kodiak defeated Glen Osbourne and Flash Flanagan. A back and forth match
came to an end when Krueger and Kodiak took the advantage as Reckless Youth and
Jason Lee distracted the Tag Team Champions, Glen Osbourne and Flash Flanagan
while on the outside of the ring. This distraction continued for several minutes
until "The Celebrity" Chris Krueger was able to surprise Flanagan with a rollup
and the win. Krueger and Kodiak Bear then celebrated as their manager, Sebastian
Night handed his men their new titles.
In the sixth match, Ty Street
defeated Sweet Mr E. Ty Street came out to continue his winning ways, this time
against up and comer, Sweet Mr E. It was once again the Tyakazi, which gained Ty
the victory.
In the seventh match, Eddie
Valentine beat JJ Johnson. Sebastian Night led another one of his men into the
ring and was able to continue to keep the loss column clear by assisting "Fast"
Eddie Valentine with his pin for the three count.
In the eighth match, Ground
Zero and Johnny Maxx wrestled to a draw. Ground Zero was not yet done with his
night of complete annihilation of the PCW ranks. His next victim, a man who was
making his Hamburg debut, "Maximum" Johnny Maxx. At around the three-minute
mark, Ground Zero already had Maxx beat and began to powerbomb him, nearly four
times in a row until Boogie Woogie Brown and Scott Furie ran to the ring to stop
him. Ground Zero then called for the mic and challenged Boogie to a match later
in the night.
In the ninth match, Jimi V
defeated Reckless Youth and Jason Lee. This match began as a handicap match
putting Jimi V against both Reckless Youth and Jason Lee who insisted on working
as a team in what was supposed to be a Cruiserweight Triangle match. Late in the
match, Youth and Lee were no longer able to put their differences aside and it
was every man for themselves. Moments later, former PCW Tag Team Champs, Glen
Osbourne and Flash Flanagan arrived at ringside and as Flanagan distracted both
the referee and Reckless Youth, Glen landed a powerbomb on Jason Lee in the
ring, which helped Jimi V get the win. After the match, Droz and Prince Albert
arrived in the ring and attacked Glen and Flash. Moments later it was Stevie
Richards who came to even the sides and clear the ring of Droz and Albert.
Albert then made the challenge to all of the teams at ringside for a Four
Corners Elimination Tag Match later in the night and on behalf of everyone, the
"Original King of Swing" Stevie Richards accepted.
In the tenth match, Boogie
Woogie Brown defeated Ground Zero. This was an all out war until Ground Zero’s
manager, El Hijo del Muerte began to interfere in the matchup. As a result of
this, Ty Street arrived in the ring with a steel chair in hand to make what
looked to be a save for Boogie, but instead he smacked Brown in the head with
the chair. Street then left the ring and took the microphone and told Boogie
Woogie Brown that he was sick of seeing the veterans of the PCW and that the
young blood has taken the back seat long enough. Boogie then promised Ty Street
that he has not seen the last of him and he will get his revenge.
In the eleventh match, JJ
Johnson defeated Mozart Fontaine. Making his singles debut was the pompous
Mozart Fontaine who was brought to the ring by the manager of the Box Office,
E.S. Easton. Johnson was relentless in his attack on Fontaine and when Easton
attempted to get involved his interference backfired and gave JJ the win.
In the twelfth match, Vincent
Goodnite defeated Mr Ooh La La. This matchup was a very special Hair against
Hair match. In a heated battle, Vincent Goodnite took care of the "French
Lover" Mr Ooh La La in a not-so-efficient way, but still gained the
victory, which gave him the right to cut Ooh La La’s hair. The end came when
Ooh La La landed a chair to the back of Vincent and took to the outside to
celebrate. Then, in the ring, the referee began to make the count and reached
ten, giving Vince the win as a result of a countout. Vince was then joined at
ringside by some of his friends from the back who assisted him in giving Ooh La
La a haircut.
In the thirteenth and last
match, Stevie Richards and Jimi V won a four corners elimination match. This
matchup was a Four Corners Elimination Match which included the teams of Stevie
Richards and Jimi V, Droz and Prince Albert, Reckless Youth and Jason Lee, and
Flash Flanagan and Glen Osbourne. This was an absolute free-for-all which took
place both in and out of the ring. The teams of Glen Osbourne and Flash Flanagan
as well as Reckless and Jason Lee were eliminated when their war took to the
outside for over 10 seconds. That left Jimi V and Stevie Richards against Droz
and Prince Albert. In the end, Richards landed a Stevie-Kick on Droz and Jimi V
followed it up with a 450 splash for the win. After the match Prince Albert
cleared the ring of Jimi V and Stevie Richards.
At the 09.24.99 PCW show, PCW
President Mr Blaine DeSantis announced that the Mean Street Posse and the Blue
Meanie would be in action at the 11.05.99
PCW show.
American Independent Wrestling Federation
The following was sent by
AIWF. The AIWF was at Bradshaw WV Fire Department on Saturday 09.11.99. Steve
Niles came to the ring to open the show with an interview. He started telling
the fans how Heavyweight champ Terminator X was not there that night because of
the fact that he was afraid of Niles. As he continued to trash TX, Luscious
Kevin made his way to the ring. He told Niles that he was not going to listen to
him talk about TX that way with him not there to defend himself. Niles then
challenged Kevin to wrestle him in the place of TX and slapped him in the face,
the two started to fight but was pulled apart. Kevin accepted the challenge.
Gemini wrestled Rocky Steelheart to a double disqualification when the rest of
the War Inc. and the rest of Bad Company hit the ring and all six men started
fighting. James Manson defeated Enigma. The War Machines defeated the Ghost
Riders when Sweet Daddy who was at ringside with the Ghost Riders hit Jackie
Anderson by accident and David Steel pinned him. Steve Niles defeated Luscious
Kevin with the help of Gemini. In a strange match Rick Deezel wrestled the Chief
of the Bradshaw Police department. This match was made after Deezel had
challenged Chief Burchett after Deezel clamed that he was attacked by officers
the month before after a show and the Chief would not do anything about it. So
Deezel challenged the Chief to settle it in the ring. The match went back and
forth but when the Chief got the upperhand and Deezel could not get it back.
Deezel fearing he was going to loose slid out of the ring and grabbed the
Chief’s gun from his holster at ringside and started back to the ring. Three
other officers at ring side grabbed Deezel and wrestled the gun away. Deezel
was handcuffed. The Stalker and Creeping Death who was at ringside was also
arrested for trying to free Deezel the Three was carried to jail. Charges were
dropped later because no one was hurt, but Deezel and the others were banned
from Bradshaw for one year. For US title match Sweet Daddy defeated Robbie Evil.

Daddy defeated Rocky Steelheart. The War Machines defeated the Natural Born
Killers to win the titles after Major Havoc and Robbie Evil began fighting each

Evil pulled out because he had to defend the Tag titles giving Chris Tenney a

lightbulbs, thumbtacks, a table, and a table wrapped in barbedwire. The tables
were also set on fire. Brian Danzig is the first AIWF King Of Extreme. For the

Deezel was the one pinned. Deezel was in the contract to wrestle the match, but
he replaced himself with Carson. Deezel tried to attack Lamont but he was hit
from behind by Bolen with a chair and Lamont pined him. The whole thing however
was a setup so that Ronnie the girlfriend fo Chainz could join the Family.
Chainz and Ronnie was at ringside with Carson. and After the match Ronnie and

The following was sent by
Jeff the ATCW timekeeper. A well-received crowd-pleasing performance by a
legendary tag team and by their "loving" opponents highlighted the monthly card
of Atlantic Terror Championship Wrestling that was held at the Berkeley County
Multipurpose Center in Martinsburg, WV, on 09.24.99.
Attendance was estimated at
250. Ring announcer was Mike DiMuzio. Doing the ringside commentary, direct from
the FWA, "Daredevil" Dave Neiswender and Mike Burns. Videotaping the
proceedings, and equally as direct from the FWA Gary Walter and Glenn Boyle.
Timekeeper at the bell was Jeff Amdur. Referees for the evening were Kevin
"Footy Shirt" Carson and "The Godfather" Vinnie Gambini.
On match 1, Chad Austin (with
Ralfis) spoiled the local debut of Tommy Idol by pinning him in 12:37, thus
holding on to his western states heritage intercontinental hardcore
cruiserweight trophy. The end came as manager Ralfis (not to be confused with
Ralphus, although they probably bathe in the same swamp) tripped Tommy, allowing
Chad to pick Idol up in an airplane spin which he followed with a Death Valley
driver for the pin. During the match, Chad seemed to be bothered by the taunts
of Bullhorn Man, who was sitting in the front row. Before Mike DiMuzio could
introduce the next match, he was interrupted by Camp Casino, consisting of
manager Barry Casino and his charges C.J. Brock, Don Rott and ATCW champion
Patch. After Barry reminded the crowd that the absent Ty Street had been
hospitalized and was still recovering from his beating last month at the hands
of the Casinoites, Patch told the crowd that his scheduled opponent had also
"backed out" of the match and that he has instead been booked against Hell Billy
Otis. He questioned the wisdom of that booking, stating that while Patch has
been undefeated in his ATCW stay, Otis has yet to win.
Next on the promotional
parade came Nation's Baddest Creations and their manager Al Bino, whose
scheduled opponents, the Himalaya Playaz, had, according to Bino, been hurt in
an accident "when they tried to fit through a doorway". Al and NBC
then challenged any two wrestlers in the back to come out and take them on
established tag team who had driven up from Baltimore just to see the show.
On match 2 Nation's Baddest
Creations (Sean Nice and L.A. Royale, with Al Bino and "Little Al")
pinned 2-Dope and Sydeswype in 9:40. The end came as 2-Dope, frustrated by
Bino's constant interference, chased him around the perimeter of the ring. While
the referee was occupied with this chase, NBC seized the moment to deliver a
double reverse DDT on Syde. As the referee came back into the ring, L.A. covered
Mr Swype for the pin.
After the match, and after
NBC had gone back to the locker room, Al Bino continued to taunt the opposition,
calling one of them "too dopey". For this indiscretion, 2D and SS pummeled Al,
leaving him on the floor for several minutes temporarily separating him from his
prized "little Al" mannequin head.
Out came Barry Casino and his
merry men once more. Barry took the mike and delivered the line of the night
when he said that "Martinsburg was the place where they invented the toothbrush.
Had it been invented anywhere else, it would have been called the toothbrush".
On match 3, C.J. (a.k.a.
"Cool Joe") Brock (with Barry Casino) pinned Nick "Da Bull"
Fury in 7:06. Nick missed a shoulder block off the top rope and fell victim to
the Brockbuster and then the pin.
On match 4, "The Latin
Dragon" Julio Sanchez won his match against Don Rott (with Barry Casino) as the
result of a disqualification in 10:02. Julio delivered some amazingly
stiff-looking kicks during this match, including perhaps the most
vicious-looking superkick I've ever seen. The kick enabled Julio to roll up Don;
but the referee was distracted by Casino. This allowed Patch and C.J. Brock to
attack Sanchez, and the referee immediately called for the bell. They continued
to stomp and kick Julio until Hell Billy Otis and Nick Fury made the save.
On match 5, Chef D.Z.
Gillespie (with Melanie LaFleur) pinned Morgus the Maniac (with Nurse Grace and
Medic Maurice in 1:08. Before the match, and before Grace and Maurice could get
the strait jacket off Morgus, bodyguard-for-hire Dino Divine attacked Morgus
from behind and tossed him into the ring, where Chef had free rein. A quick
rolling pin by Gillespie and a 3-count, and the match was over. After the match,
Morgus finally was able to get the strait jacket off, grabbed the giant wooden
fork that Chef brought with him to the ring, and proceeded, in the words of
play-by-play guy Dave Neiswender, to "fork the Chef up real good".
On match 6, Patch (with
Barry Casino) defended the ATCW championship and extended his undefeated streak
by pinning Hell Billy Otis in 9:55. During the match I could not help but think
that it was indeed karmic that on this first night of the joyous Jewish festival
of Sukkos, I was watching Patch, a wrestler who combines the record of Bill
Goldberg with the facial characteristics of Moshe Dayan. During the match, Don
Rott and C.J. Brock came out to lend support to their fellow Camp Casino member.
Otis hit a top-turnbuckle dive and went to cover for the pin; but once again,
the course of a match was changed by Barry Casino as he distracted the referee,
allowing Brock to chair-shot Otis. Unlike the previous match, the referee did
not turn around to see the chicanery and counted the pin for Patch.
After the match, Camp
Casino once again ran roughshod over poor Otis until a chair-wielding Nick Fury
came out and made the save. Fury took the mike and challenged Camp Casino to a
tag team match next month against himself and Otis, also known as The West
Virginia Wrecking Crew.
On match 7, The Bushwhackers
(Luke Williams and Butch Miller) pinned "Wise Guy" Jimmy Cicero and Dino Divine
in 14:37 of steady, fast-paced action that had the fans wound up from start to
finish. Before the match, Jimmy and Dino did some of their "dance
routines" in mid-ring and accused the Nitro Girls of having stolen some
routines from them. When Luke and Butch arrived to different music than their
usual theme, the opposition stopped dancing and scattered as the Whackers led
the fans in "Bush-whack-ers" chants that didn't let up throughout the
match. The end came as Cicero wound up on the receiving end of a Dino
clothesline after Butch had ducked. Butch schoolboyed Jimmy for the pin.
Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre
On EMLL TV on 09.25.99 in
the first match, Rayo de Jalisco Jr., Lizmark, and Gigante Silva against
Universo 2K, Scorpio Jr., Bestia Savaje, and Apollo Dantes to one fall (instead
of three fall matches usually performed in Mexico). From the list of
participants you can tell this wasn't a very interesting match. They played up
the Ray against Universo fued obviously, and there was a lot of slow moves and
slapping. Lizmark hit a tope to take out Apollo Dantes, Silva slammed, flying
splashed, and pinned Bestia and Scorpio, and Rayo used a diving plancha to take
out Universo.
In the second match,
Villano III and Shocker against Atlantis and Mr Niebla in a "super
libre" bout. If the "technicos" (technicians) win then all four
participants will face up in a Relevos Suicidas / Incredibles match, where the
two enemies team up and face the other two enemies in a tag match, and the
losing team splits and fights, in a mask against mask match. Shocker is doing a
1000% Guapo (Handsome) shtick.
In the first fall, the
"rudos" of course start with an ambush, and waste no time in ripping
the masks of and bloodying the technicos. Niebla bled all over Shocker, as
Villano hit a DDT. Shocker then did a powerbomb, and a mafia kick. Niebla is
absolutely disgusting with the bladejob. His blood is all over his own chest and
Shocker's hands. Atlantis is wearing the crimson version of his mask as usual.
The "rudos" both do double bulldogs, however when the referee makes
Villano and Atlantis leave to be tagged in, Niebla turns the tide and the
"technicos" rally back, with Atlantis hitting a cross body for two.
The "technicos" attempts at ramming the rudos into each other is
reversed, however, and soon Niebla is whipped to the ropes for a
toss-up-powerbomb, but he dropkicks V3 out, and Altantis follows. This leaves
Niebla and Shocker, who run to opposite ropes and Shocker is hit with the
handspring back bodyblock, and then Niebla uses a tope suicida, taking Shocker
out and into the seats. Villano tries to dive out from the top, but Atlantis
tosses him off the top, then uses La Tapitia to earn the submission, while
Shocker is counted out. It was a good ending.
In second fall, Shocker gave
Atlantis a DDT, and then he places Niebla up in the tree of woe. They use
Atlantis as a battering ram, and take turns doing bulldogs to him, as Niebla's
blood pours off his face because he is upside down- So the corner of the ring
has a puddle of the juice. The "rudos" try to ram Atlantis a third
time, but the referees get in the way, however Los "Rudos" run with
him anyway, hitting the referee, and they are disqualified. Cheap ending to a
good bloody brawl.
In the Main Event, Dr. Wagner
Jr. and Blue Panther against El Hijo del Santo and Negro Casas. Wagner is
sporting the whole muticolored Parka and sombrero and his red and green mask,
making this match rule right there.
In the first fall, the
"rudos" take the technicos belts and tease tossing them to the fans
and Blue Panther yells at an old lady, for some comedy, before the bell rings.
Casas and Wagner start, and they trade some moves, but Wagner counters a
headlock with a backdrop and nearly kills Casas by dropping him on his head. So
he leaves and then it is Santo and Maestro del Lagunero. They trade some stuff,
but Santo arm-drags him out and uses a killer tope to knock him into the seats.
Both teams go back and forth and eventually Panther holds up Santo for dropkicks
to the face, double temple dropkicks, and then a double team powerbomb for the
pin. They then pin Casas with a nifty spot where Blue Panther press slams him
and the Good Doctor jumps off the top with a diamond cutter. It was good action.
In the second fall they start
by bullying Casas, by press slamming him onto Wagner's knee. Wagner uses a
superplex for a two count. Casas is able to make the tag, but the referee
doesn't see it, so he is released back in and placed into La Tapitia, and then
Blue Panther rolls with it. Santo breaks up the spot with an elbowdrop, but
doesn't stay on offense for long. Panther tries to superplex him, but can't, and
neither can Wagner. Casas places Blue Panther, who is trying the move again, on
his shoulders, and Santo comes off with a high cross body, for two. Santo and
Casas take out Wagner, but Panther stops Santo from doing anything, and Wagner
sneaks back in with the Wagner Driver for the pin on Negro Casas. 440 has to be
dragged out of the ring. Wagner and Panther do a face-buster/doomsday device,
and then dropkicks to the face. Santo blades here. They try to do a toss up
power-bomb on him, but Santo reverse to a "rana" and pins Dr., and
then gets an unsuspecting Blue Panther with an over the top sunset flip for the
pin and fall. It was more good action.
In the third fall by now
the bladejob has gotten all over Santo's chest. The rudos use the lifted-up
facebuster again, and then a double team stretch, but Santo can get to the
ropes. Casas gets tagged in, recuperated, and the technicos take control. Santo
does the "tope atomico" on Wagner and corner tope suicida on Panter, but the
first headbutt hit his partner instead of the rudo. So Wagner gets up, and uses
Splash Moutain for a near-fall. He tries the Wagner Driver, but Casas flips over
the top, and uses a reverse DDT for a two count, and then a brainbuster for the
three count. Panther is counted out, and the "technicos" retain. This match was
different because it was more lucharesru then true lucha, and so instead of the
extended mat wrestling period, they incorporated more throws and near falls.
In overall the main event
was nice, and the second match had its purpose. Not as great as last weeks
awesome episode. The Relevos Suicidas match could be a Match of the Year
candidate if done right. At least the angle begs for it to be called feud of the
year.
