The Undertaker wasn't able to hold on to the heavyweight title for long. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin won it again (RAW, 07.05.99). On the next RAW (07.12.99) Vince McMahon signed with Austin's own blood (after the Undertaker hit Austin with the Smokin' Skull belt) a contract for a title match between the Undertaker and Austin.

The Hardy Boyz won the tag team belts from the Acolytes (RAW, 07.05.99) in company of Michael Hayes. Acolytes had won the titles back (late 07.99).

The Headbangers are back but not as a tag team as yet. Mosh returned about two months ago dressed up like a boy with his girlfriend playing his mom (name?). He "broke character" now fighting in his under shorts simply under the name of Chaz. Thrasher also returned to the WWF (07.05.99) when Chaz was assaulted in the ring.

Smackdown was not an one-time special special presentation on UPN. The show will air every Thursday (starting 08.26.99) from 8:00 to 10:00 at night NY time. Surprisingly it would start a day before ECW debuts on TNN.

Jesse Ventura Jesse Ventura will return to the ring as a referee with a cool million dollar paycheck. He will be part of Summer Slam. Many people had criticized Ventura's decision to be part of wrestling. These same people think that it is not right for a governor to be part of such event. Some people had said that he is using his political stand for enrichment. Just let the guy have fun and maybe make a buck or two being in the ring with Triple H and Austin. Hunter may be focused but he will need to have the match of his life if he hopes to defeat Stone Cold in Minneapolis.

The WWF Full Bodypress Newsletter (07.30.99) indicates that the Rattlesnake will be out of action all weekend due to a twisted knee and several sprained ligaments.

On RAW (07.26.99) Jeff Jarrett snapped when actor Ben Stiller revealed that his two favorite superstars were Debra's "puppies." The self-proclaimed "greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time" assaulted the "Mystery Men" star, locking him in a figure-four leglock. European champion D'Lo Brown came down to pry Jarrett off Stiller, and while Jarrett was busy with D'Lo, Stiller crawled over to Debra and nestled his face deep into "puppyland" When Jarrett finally saw the segment later in the week and saw what Ben did, guess what? That pissed him off.

Shane McMahon has been strangely silent since the First Blood "End of an Era" match at the Fully Loaded PPV, when his father was exiled from World Wrestling Federation television forever. One has to think that this has been a very trying and emotional period for the heir apparent and Federation fans are eagerly waiting for him to break his silence.

One superstar who is definitely on Shane's mind is Test. Since the "former Motley Crue bodyguard" began dating Shane's sister, Stephanie, the "Boy Wonder" and the Mean Street Posse have taken every opportunity to ambush Test.

We saw the formation of a demonic alliance between the Undertaker and the Big Show (RAW, 07.26.99). Together, these two could be the greatest force ever assembled in the WWF. After hospitalizing X-Pac that week, if this macabre duo shows up on RAW this week, all hell could break loose.

Vince, Linda, Shane and Stephanie McMahon recently taped three episodes of the TSN (the Canadian network that carries WWF programming) interview show "Off the Record," hosted by Michael Landsberg. McMahon family members spoke honestly and candidly about the WWF during the interviews. WWF.COM has obtained a copy of the interviews and compiled a report for American fans who were unable to see the episodes.

On Friday the Kansas City District Attorney’s office announced that, after an extensive investigation into the death of Owen Hart, it would not be issuing criminal indictments. The World Wrestling Federation understands that the District Attorney’s office reached its conclusion after having the matter reviewed by an expert, which further supports the World Wrestling Federation’s belief as to the truly accidental nature of Owen Hart’s death. In addition, OSHA recently closed its investigation into this matter without any further action. Owen Hart’s accident was one of those extremely unfortunate tragedies that sometimes occur despite the best of precautions. Owen Hart will always be deeply missed by his friends and colleagues at the World Wrestling Federation.

World Championship Wrestling
Does anyone remember the crap footage that WWF had of Steven Regal for his "man's man" gimmick? Regal didn't fight much there and returned to WCW where he has reunited with Dave Taylor (the Blue Bloods around 1994-95 along with "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) and Dave "Fit" Finley. These three great wrestlers should try going for the tag team championship. At least Finley won the first ever hardcore title on the Bash at the Beach PPV, without a belt though.

Speaking of the title Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn beat the tag team champions in a non-title match, the NJ Shore Triad. Of course Bam Bam Bigelow, DDP and Kanyon weren't happy at all (07.05.99).

David Flair was given the US heavyweight belt by his father (07.05.99) who stripped Scott Steiner from the title. David Flair can hardly fight. The only way he wins is with help from his father, Arn Anderson, Asia, Roddy Piper, referee Charles Robinson and any other who is hired at the time (list has included Randy Savage and even Sid). At least Ric Flair was removed from office by Sting thanks to the three-count by Eric Bischoff (07.19.99). Sting is now the new president of WCW. This power hunger is getting tired for both WCW and WWF.

That Nitro (07.05.99) ended on a different note. Megadeth played their new track "Crush 'Em" almost fifteen minutes to the end of the show. At the end of their presentation Bill Goldberg showed up shouting that he was back, big fucking deal. First Goldberg was brought to WCW to feud with Mongo McMichael. After 172 wins and no lost matches till Kevin Nash took the heavyweight title from him, which Goldberg had gotten by beating Hulk Hogan.

NWO Kevin Nash won the fight with Sid Vicious after a disqualification thanks to Randy Savage and the bogus Sting (remember NWO's Sting?). When the real Sting came out to the ring to help Kevin Nash, Kevin Nash power-bombed the real Sting because he thought that the real Sting had attacked him. After the match Randy Savage went to get Gorgeous George, who was in the locker room of Kevin Nash. Savage acted his namesake ripping the shirt off Gorgeous George exposing her bra. WCW cut off the signal immediately while some other stations like TSN from Canada didn't even aired it. On Bash at the Beach, Kevin Nash and the real Sting were a tag team against Savage and Sid where whoever got the pin would win the heavyweight belt. Savage won the title again (07.11.99). The next day Hulk Hogan (his return after a knee injury thanks to DDP) challenged Savage for the title. There was an extra event with Sid who got on the ring to help Savage but was stopped by Sting. Thanks to a power-bomb from Nash, Hogan won the title again (Nitro, 07.12.99). Hogan actually acted cheerful and not stupid as of late; the audience actually cheered for him. Kevin Nash asked Hogan for a title shot because he had "handed" Hogan the title twice, first time was in January. All of a sudden people are cheering for the Hulkster again and it seems that Hulkamania is back. Surprisingly Kevin Nash has showed that he dislikes Hogan by beating Horace Hogan (real name in big time doubt) during his match with Ric Steiner (07.19.99). Later that same night (Nitro, 07.19.99) when Hogan was fighting Sid for the world title, Kevin Nash and Ric Steiner came to beat Hogan. Kevin Nash and Sid in the same team against Hogan with one or both Steiners could be the birth of a new NWO.

Speaking of teams, Randy Savage fired both Madusa (Nitro, 07.19.99) and Mona (previously known as Ms Madness; real name Nora Greenwald) during the week of 07.12.99. The latter two have been feuding (Nitro, 07.12.99). Harlem Heat reunited as a team (Nitro, 07.12.99) when Booker T came to ringside to help his brother. Shane Douglas (former ECW heavyweight champion, real name Troy Martin) got on the ring (Nitro, 07.19.99) congratulating and maybe recruiting former ECW alumni, Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit and Perry Saturn as the Revolution. Maybe after the Horsemen dies, these new group can rule WCW.

Dennis "the Worm" Rodman has returned to WCW. After not being able to get a contract as a basketball player, he is back to wrestle picking up a fight with no other than Randy Savage (Nitro, 07.19.99). No fights for Rodman had been scheduled or talked about on WCW-TV to against Savage or anyone else.

Extreme Championship Wrestling
Dawn Marie ECW has had action but not its best lately. Maybe they are saving good footage for TNN. Maybe they were busy preparing for Heatwave '99 (07.18.99). Anyhow keep up the good work guys and make a good show on TNN. We are weeks away (08-13.99 as a pilot or some kind of special presentation) to watch ECW at their new home TNN (CBS owned cable station) on Friday nights. TNN shows will start on 08-27.99 two weeks after. To give a good impression most ECW tapings would be done in bigger venues, maybe no more shows at the Madhouse of Extreme in NYC, Elks Lodge in Queens. For $10 I had a great time there, three good hours of wrestling this past April. Now let's wait for ECW to go to the Madison Square Garden.

On the show taped in Queens (aired on 07.18.99) Tahiri surprised everyone. First beating Little Guido and Super Crazy in a tree-way-dance. Then he attacked Taz when he came to congratulate him for the great fight. Also that night Jerry Lynn was beat by Justin Credible, Jason and Lance Storm who as usual interfered in the fight helping Credible win the fight. Jaz tried to protect Jerry Lynn and was attacked by Jason.

ECW had it PVV, Heatwave '99 (Dayton, Ohio 07.18.99). Tommy Dreamer would be out of wrestling due to a spinal injury. Little Spike Dudley and Balls Mahony are the new tag team champions. Taz was involved in the first ever match to be ruled no contest when he applied his Tazmission head-lock using some barbwire on Tajiri. Jerry Lynn and RVD beat Justin Credible and Lance Storm. Sabu was not happy at the end of the Heatwave '99 and started brawling with Jerry Lynn and RVD.

One character who I can't stand is Steve Corino. On 07.17.99, he had a some matches at a CPW event in Fredericksburg, VA. At least he showed some respect to KYDA Pro Wrestling for a change. His ECW persona normally shows no respect.

National Wrestling Association
The following was sent by MC Wrestling. At the 07.03.99, Nashville Fairgrounds show, "Smart" Bart Sawyer and Chris Michaels became the new NWA North American tag team champions by defeating ladies night out. The evening began with Sawyer and Michaels against each other in a bloody dog collar match, and ended with them together as a team. After the match, the New South attacked both men. Sawyer and Michaels would face the New South on 07.10.99 at the Nashville Fairgrounds.

Flamboyant Faron Foxx used the TV title belt to get a pin over prodigy TJ Gray. He was announced as the new TV champion. The match is under review and a decision will be announce soon by the NWA, as to whether the Foxx win will be upheld (07.03.99).

In attendance at the 07.03.99 show, but not wrestling, were Midget D, Rex King, and "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton, formerly part of the Midnight Express (NWA and WCW) and the Blue Bloods (WCW).

Also at the Fairgrounds (07.10.99), "Fabulous" Jackie Fargo was scheduled to face "the King" Jerry Lawler. If Lawler won Fargo must have shaved his head. If Fargo won Stacy must have shaved her head. "Fabulous" Jackie Fargo lost to Jerry Lawler when Nicole Bass interfered. Fargo's head was shaved (week of 07.15.99).

The Colorado Kid was scheduled to defend the NWA North American title against the WWF's Terry Taylor. On 07.13.99, Terry Taylor didn't wrestle but did knock out the Colorado Kid with a chair. Efforts are underway to force a match between the Colorado Kid and Terry Taylor on 08.07.99 at the Nashville Fairgrounds.

Andy Anderson has contacted NWA/MCW about returning sometime after 07.18.99. Anderson has been wrestling in Mexico and Puerto Rico for NWA promoter, Victor Quiñones.

NWA GA's Pete Platinum is now wrestling in Puerto Rico for Carlos Colon's promotion.

At the Nashville Fairgrounds on 07.10.99, "Sex Pistol" David Young defeated "Prodigy" TJ Gray to become the new NWA Worldwide TV Champion.

At a WWF show on 07.13.99, the Colorado Kid defeated Tracy Smothers (of ECW).

During at Nashville Fairgrounds (07.15.99) Prodigy TJ Gray defeated John Arden when Frenchy Riviera hit the ring, and began double teaming Gray causing the disqualification and Nightmare made the save. AJ Styles defeated newcomer Jason Daniel in what many thought was the best match of the night. Bill Behrens defeated Rick Michaels with Mark Davis. Behrens brought out Bart Sawyer to second him at ringside. Michaels dominated Behrens with punches, leg drops, clotheslines, elbows, but wouldn't pin him. Finally he lifted Behrens for a bodyslam, hitting referee, Jimmy Rivers, with Behrens' feet in the process. Rivers went down and Bart Sawyer came into the ring, then knocked Michaels out with a chain. Behrens recovered hit three leg drops and the people's elbow before pinning Michaels. No Fear (Rukkus and Vic Violent) defeated retaining their NWA GA tag team title in a tough match with the Outlaws, Joel and Hoss Deaton. The Deatons actually got the pinfall and the win, but when a second referee came to the ring they attacked both referees, causing Bill Behrens to throw out the match and reverse the decision. Bart Sawyer defeated defending the NWA GA title against TV champion, David Young. The match ended when Rick Michaels, Frenchy Riviera, and Mark Davis all got involved. Young and Sawyer were able to clear the ring of all three heals.

NWA

In a NWA/MCW news release (07.17.99) of TV tapings in Cornelia, GA has generated more rumors and stupid assumptions than anyone could have imagined. Taping matches in Cornelia, does not mean the end of NA wrestling, just as tapings in Smyrna, TN, Gallatin, TN, Conyers, GA, Louisville, KY etc. didn't. Our goal is to showcase matches from all over. Recently we had matches from Japan, England, Las Vegas, and expect footage soon from Puerto Rico. We just promoted a show at the Fairgrounds with nearly 1200 people in attendance, our largest crowd in that building. There are discussions underway to make NA Wrestling bigger than ever. So to the many in Nashville, most NWA Worldwide staff and helpers, please don't over react. Don't confuse other promotions in NA with NWA Wrestling. The TV Show is renewed for one more year on WNAB-TV at 9:30 in the morning; check local TV listings.

Remember that the WNWA PPV, Dangerous Curves will be on Viewers' Choice PPV on 08-29.99 live from Las Vegas. Stacy Carter, Christopher Love, and even "Smart" Bart Sawyer are expected to appear.

In the Sunday 07.18.99 at the Starlite Skating Center in Stockbridge, GA, Air Paris defeated the Midnight Rider who looked strangely similar to the suspended Dusty Doston. No Fear (Rukkus and Vic Violent) defeated Jared Michaels and Damien Thorn by disqualification in a non-title match. As Vic Violent was about to hit a top rope move, Joel Deaton, who was not booked on the show ran to the ring, pushed him off and began attacking both men with his whip. Michaels and Thorn joined in until TJ Gray hit the ring to even things up. Spade with Mark Davis defeated Faku when Spade got the pin after Davis hit Faku with a Confederate Flag's pole and after the match Davis received a DDT from Faku. Davis Young and Shane Austin defeated TJ Gray and Shawn Daniels when Gray was pinned after being hit with a chain by Young, but Gray is still looking for a TV Title rematch with Young. Bart Sawyer defeated Frenchy Riviera with Mark Davis after the match Sawyer was attacked by Young, Austin and Riviera. Riviera hit Sawyer with several Big Splashes.

Bart Sawyer is presently in the Pacific NWA where he will defend his NWA GA title in NWA ECCW.

NWA Nashville signed deal with WUXP-TV30. Amidst constant rumors that NWA Nashville was closing Shop in the city and moving elsewhere, NWA president, Bert Prentice and Bill Zuckerman, program director for UPN affiliate WUXP-TV30 announced yesterday a long term deal struck between the companies in Nashville. NWA Worldwide Wrestling will begin airing on the station at 9:30 AM Saturday, starting 09.04.99. NWA will be the lead Off for a three hour block of wrestling that includes WWF And WCW. NWA Vice-President Bill Behrens said, "I want to thank the great People at WNAB-TV. We had an opportunity to stay on the Station, but would have needed to move from our 9:30 AM Time period." Bert Prentice added, "I find it very humorous that the Nashville Wrestling community kept Announcing our leaving the area, when all the time we were getting ready to be positioned stronger than we have ever been." Said Behrens, "Too many fly by night promoters have announced that they were going to take over Nashville, but all spoke before they were positioned to do so. We refused to leak our plans until they were firm. Many believed our silence was an indication that we were leaving Nashville, including some of our own wrestlers. That was never our plan." Said Pretince, "I think fans are going to be thrilled with some of the new things we are going to do in the Nashville market. Many folk don't realize that Nashville is just one small part of our big picture, however, it remains my favorite part and I will continue to cater to the Nashville fans." Prentice says he will promote up to three times per week in the Nashville viewing area, as the WUXP-TV signal reaches a wider audience. In addition NWA Worldwide continues promotes twice Weekly in the state of GA as NWA GA and has dates set in Fredericktown, MO on 08.21.99 and Colorado Springs, CO. On 08-28.99. Bill Behrens also announced that NWA Worldwide will produce and distribute a second show tentatively titled NWA Wildside to be shot at the NCW arena in Cornelia, GA, beginning 08.21.99. So now NWA Worldwide will distribute two weekly hours as the NWA wrestling network. This will provide TV exposure to twice as many NWA stars. Behrens said, "we also anticipate receiving matches From many of the other NWA members around the world. The NWA is growing. We are glad to be part of it." NWA Worldwide has moved on America One Network and its affiliates from 7PM to 10PM (ET) Saturdays. The late Friday, 2AM (ET) feed remains the same.

NWA has its 51st anniversary show set for 09.25.99 in Charlotte, NC at the Grady Cole Center.

"Smart" Bart Sawyer just recently finished a tour of Canada for NWA/ECCW where he successfully defended the NWA GA title four times.

Many of you may have read on the Malicious Intent website that Crayz had quit the UIWA. However at the WPW show Breaking the Law Crazy wrestled Jonny Hemp for the UWC title and if Hemp won, Crayz would return to the UIWA under Trent Taylor's rules. Hemp walk out of the show with the belt and Crayz is now once again employed by the UIWA. However because Greystone, UWC President, did not sign the contract Hemp was stripped of the UWC title. Trent Taylor has already started the paperwork and hopes for a rematch in the near future.

Expect an influx of talent from San Diego into the UIWA. The UIWA is currently in contact with CCW for a possible Talent Exchange and also with WPW. Both promotions have the desire to work together to bring you the best Wrestling in Southern California.

The first show comes to us in just over a week on 07.28.99 in Muhlenburg, Pennsylvania. Appearing at the show will be Gillberg. This show is totally FREE of charge, everyone is welcome to attend.

Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling is proud to announce that the Cheetah Master will be making his return to the ring in August. He will be in singles competition that night and this will mark his in-ring return to the PCW after nursing a serious knee injury for the past year. This electrifying superstar will be yet another attraction on the night that the PCW will crown a new king.

Next Wednesday, 07.28.99 will mark the PCW's return to the fairgrounds of the Muhlenburg Community Days with a free show. Headlining this show will be Gillberg! At this point, no matches have been released from the PCW offices, but speculation continues to point to Mr Ooh La La as Gillberg's opponent for the evening. Other PCW superstars that will be in attendance at the event will be Boogie Woogie Brown, Glen Osbourne, "The Celebrity" Chris Krueger, Scott Furie, and more.

KYDA Pro Wrestling made its promotional debut this past Saturday night (07.17.99) at the Fredericksburg Armory in Fredericksburg, Virginia (estimated attendance of 350 to 400) as the "King of Old School" Steve Corino returned to Northern Virginia just 24 hours before his match at ECW's Heat Wave pay-per-view. The proceedings opened as KYDA Commissioner Eddie Nuckols entered the ring. The duo welcomed the crowd as the giant metal door at the end of the Armory was opened. A Corvette pulled up to ringside, containing Steve Corino and his Nikita-esque bodyguard, Zubov. Corino took the microphone and ran down the hardcore style of wrestling. Chants for Sabu materialized, and slowly changed into chants for local favorite Jack Fu. Corino announced that Jack Fu was a nobody and promised to take out young "American" Mike Brown later on in the evening. The match of Steve Corino (of ECW) and "American" Mike Brown was ruled no contest in about 20 minutes which Corino dominated for a lot of the match, but was unable to finish Brown off. Finally, the massive Zubov attempted to interfere, which brought Jake Damien out from the back. Once all four men were brawling in the ring, referee Kehner called for the bell. Corino made his escape as Brown and Damien set up Zubov on a table. Jack Fu brought a ladder from the back, and Brown attempted to splash Zubov through the table from the ladder. The table didn't break, so Brown slowly climbed the ladder again, putting Zubov through the table with a guillotine legdrop. Brown, Fu, Damien and Laree celebrated in the ring to finish the show, while Corino took the microphone to congratulate KYDA on their debut.

Also on 07.17.99, Chris Kisner defeated Richard X via submission with the Sharpshooter. Jack Fu defeated a 15-man Bunkhouse Battle Royal featuring Jack Fu, Shorty Smalls, David Seattle, Justin Tyme, Maxx Intensity, Johnny Double D, Brian "The Big" Johnson, F.R. Marcks, Richard X, Combat Kid, Chase, Chris Kisner, Kid America, and Randy The Violator; the match eventually came down to Smalls, Maxx Intensity and Jack Fu. Smalls and Intensity tried to double team Fu, but Fu eliminated them both and was presented with a trophy.

Also on 07.17.99, Jake Damien with Alexis Laree defeated Ali Hassan via pinfall after he had come to ringside via limousine to choose his new manager. Managers Ali Hassan, Spike Callahan and Big Al came to ringside to hear the decision; Damien revealed that his manager was already in the limousine and brought out the lovely Alexis Laree then an irate Spike Callahan launched into a tirade against Damien, Laree and the town of "Drop Dead Fredericksburg" until Laree silenced him with a low blow. James Proper defeated Kid America via submission with a modified Boston crab, but Proper refused to release the hold after the match. Shorty Smalls defeated Combat Kid with Spike Callahan then the two continued brawling after the match until Shorty knocked Combat out with a large chain he had brought to ringside with him. Shorty later declared himself "the king of hardcore." Maxx Intensity defeated Jack Fu when Intensity dominated most of the match, and worked over Fu's ribs, which had been injured in the battle royal. Finally, promoter James Zaveski stopped the match, awarding the decision to Maxx Intensity.

Nu-Wave Wrestling Alliance
The following was sent by NWWA following up their 07.04.99 Parade in Hobart with a show the following Friday at the Bingo Hall. The huge crowd stood in line an hour in advance to get front row seats. As NWWA Tag Team Champions Hard-core Henchman where arriving at the venue, Badd Blood pulled in behind them and beat the Champions with chairs billey clubs, and anything else in sight. The crowd saw Jackknife being spiked pile drove on the hood of a car and then Badd Blood double suplexed him on to the car, smashing the wind shield. Jackknife laid busted wide open while Ghetto was holding his ribs. Other highlights included rookie Teddy Lane pushing Chuckie Smoothe to the maximum in a title match for the NWWA Midwest Title. This feud is definitely not over. Rex Hart came out stating he is Rex "the role model" Hart and all fans are "allowed" to look up to him. The crowd responded by jeering him all through the match.

Hott Stuff has been sidelined for six weeks due to two broken ribs sustained at the hands of former tag partner JT Sexxy in the locker room; this feud is brewing. Gee Quebec and Devon Fury match was one for the books. Fury was injured in the last few minutes of the match and preliminary reports are that he may be out for several months. We will keep you posted on this tragic news. Both Dawson Boys, Dirty Duke and Bad Boy Budd, where missing in action at the Hobart show. As you recall, both signed exclusive contracts with Kennedy personally and have been seen over at the Kennedy mansion. The reason for the absence is still a mystery.

In Hobart, Indiana (07.09.99) Devon Fury and Gee Quebec fought a best 2 out of 3 match when Gee was pinned at the ten-minute time with the low-down; Gee then came back in the nineteenth minute with a "van dominator" finally with the 30 minute coming to an end, Gee German suplexed Fury and the head referee made the decision that both wrestlers shoulders where down and both where awarded the second pinfall on each other ending the match as a draw. Bedrock Brawler defeated JT Sexxy retaining his NWWA Heavyweight when Lady Dementia nailing Sexxy with a stiff chair shot into Brawler's finisher. The Luv Machine's camp is crumbling in front of him. Hammer Time defeated Bane with a missile drop kick. Boy Frat Lucious defeated Jabroni Brother with a spinning DDT. Badd Blood and Hard-core Henchman where separated at a no contest after the match got out of hand and wrestlers in the back had to separate them Teddy Lane won the Rookie Battle Royal and was awarded the chance to battle Chuckie Smoothe for the NWWA Midwest Title. Chuckie Smoothe defeated Teddy Lane with outside interference. Rex Hart defeated primetime with the "Rexacutioner." Gee Quebec and Devon Fury each ended with two pitfalls, a draw. Bedrock Brawler defeated JT Sexxy to retain the NWWA Heavyweight Title with the Flying Headbutt off the top.
